Creatures:

• Mother of Runes.- A powerful one drop that is vital on both offensive and defensive tasks. She works as an omni shield against targeted spells and abilities, can help to block any creature lacking trample, and can help to let creatures pass trough the opponent’s lines. Even if removed, often it will take 2 spells to do so, decreasing the opponent’s removal options for other threats.
• Bishop of Wings.- This is not a very offensive creature, but has two very important objectives to accomplish. The first one is to defend; 4 toughness is enough to survive a ton of removal, and to wall small creatures in the early game when the deck plan is still weak, giving it time to adapt and answer the opponent’s tactics. Also, the Bishop is a pivotal part of the life gain combo, delivering huge chunks of life when exposed to the many angels of the deck. Likewise when facing removal or board wipes, the Bishop will ensure some board presence after, keeping up either momentum or some defenders if needed.
• Resplendent Angel.- Being a 3/3 evasive creature is a good start, but her real value is in spawning Serra Angel every turn (a former 5 mana drop!) becoming an army of one. Once a couple of Angels have been created, if not immediately answered, will most of the time mean that the game is over for the opponent.
• Righteous Valkyrie.- A somewhat hybrid between Bishop of Wings and Resplendent Angel, this creature combines the creature type of one with the body and life gaining of the other. Additionally, when 27 or more life is reached, a game ending buff of +2/+2 is granted, providing a quite powerful board state. It is important to note, that Clerics will also cause cause her life gaining ability to trigger, to the likes of Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, or the Bishop of Wings, making it even easier to reach absurd amounts of life.
• Archangel of Thune.- A win condition on her own, with every life gain trigger, a +1/+1 is granted to every owned creature on the board, quickly turning them into an unstoppable army of huge creatures, and making combat impossible to sustain for our opponent.
