This is a relatively budget way to play Meren in commander. Obviously there are upgrades that can be made but as a base this works pretty well. The deck is a typical Golgari re-animator. Birthing Pod is one of the stars of the deck as well as Ashnod's Altar. The best card for this deck in my opinion is Sakura-Tribe Elder. The constant sacrifice outlet and ramp attached is incredible. Meren coming on turn three or less with Sakura in hand will ramp you incredibly quickly as well as build up XP counters. Solemn Simulacrum is also good but somewhat slower. Drawing a card is always valuable though. Having constant sacrifice outlets is also key: Nantuko husk, Ashnod's Altar, Evolution Leap, Viscera Seer. Deadbridge chant is something I added for fun... It's very slow though. This version doesn't have any infinite combos as it is, but the endless resources that Meren provides helps pile on immense pressure. Making everyone sacrifice creatures is also very powerful since you will most likely be the one to benefit. For the price, the deck runs quite well.
