Courtroom effects (AKA Devil's Deals) are cards that let an opponent make choices. There's a huge amount of politics that are implicit to the archetype. The Commander products have brought a lot more to this subset of cards.

I have chosen not to include the Monarch mechanic as a whole, instead focusing on the few cards that force a choice. Also, Damnation cards-like Painful Quandary or Choice of Damnations-aren't included because the choice isn't the main principle, the pain is.

Another subset is the Fact or Fiction variety. It's a pretty staple effect for Blue, so while a few may show up here, I'm not going to include any but the best.
