Who (has) done it?

Whith the help of the one and only Hèrcule Poirot you should and find out.

Of course he isn't alone in this inquiry, and will need the help of many of his friends:

some of them are his legendary collegues, in the likes of Benoit Blanc, Nancy drew, Jessica B. Fletcher, Inspector Clouseau, Miss Marple, Philip Marlowe, Amelia Donaghy, and back from the grave the one and only Sherlock Holmes (who died at the Reichenbach Falls in Switzerland, during the events of The Final Problem).
Of course just finding who the culpability belongs to isn't enough, that person must be brought to a court of justice, and getting them there is a difficult part as well, and the best way to do that is to bring as many friends as possible, which Hèrcule Poirot does thanks to the help from Philip Marlowe, the K-9 unit, his ex Queen Dido, the Swat team, Journalist meetings, police backup   and Private Eyes.
Finding truth is a payment of its own for a detective, but it doesn't pay a rent or food, so even detectives need to paid for their work. For this reason Hèrcule Poirot decided to pair up with a couple of sponsors: Giorgio Armani, because even detectives need a great fit while working; Farmer's cooperative, Harvard University for giving them access to solved cases to update their law books, and The New York Times, who find his stories very popular among their readers.
Obviously detectives can't be experts in every field, so they have to rely on other experts to fill in some gaps of knowledge they may have. The police already uses peer review to get further insight when a detective feels stuck, they are able to conduct an Officious Interrogation to get more evidence, and sometimes Confirm Suspicions; they can ask for medical examiner's help; but most importantly the police can rely on some state approved experts, that include Dr Dolittle, for crimes involving animals; city electrician, to see if some events are indeed accidents; the city's notary public, to understand where wills and property lines can be important factors; sometimes information can come from the police secretary, who is the biggest gossiper in town; sometimes the police needs a physics and chemestry professor to understand what could have happened on a scene, and even fewer times they can ask the trivia champion for random bits of knowledge.
No detective would live without having this phrase engraved in his or her head. In this context Philip Marlowe helps out by birnging a full party of friends, Sherlock Holmes does the same, but with friends with unfinished business, as one might say; Queen Dido doesn't only bring a party of friends, but manages to arm them with the whole knowledge obtained; illusionist uses his knowledge to stun the crowd with hs performance; the construction team, consisting of head mason, structural engineer, and architect, use their knowledge to get the police to wherever they want to go using shortcuts; a lawyer uses his knowledge to argue and prove logically weather someone is guilty, or weather he or she should deserve the chosen punishment or some other punishment; and then, as the saying goes Knowledge is Power, because the case you build becomes better and better the more knowledge you have, thanks to a detective's determination, ingenuity, sense of justice, logic, and Righteous Authority; after all it is a detective's job to Confront the Unknown.

P.S: on the subject of funding: all of the funding stated above is in addition to the state funding both through taxes and state incentives
