rwn1971 I'm still trying to stick to one of each creature type, so the fact that Scavenging Ooze and Prowling Serpopard share types with Lotus Cobra, Temur Sabertooth, and Acidic Slime means they're off the table for me, but they're all fantastic cards for sure. I've only made two swaps recently, cutting a basic forest for Boseiju, Who Endures, and finally cutting Junk Winder for the awesome New Capenna card Shield Broker. I'm keeping my Ruin Crab for now, as it distracts and draws the hate away from my commander. I'm also keeping Deadwood Treefolk around. It's true that it's sometimes a dead card, but when its good its VERY good, and as the only piece of recursion, it's staying for now. The next card on my radar for a potential cut is Alchemist's Refuge because i don't think I've ever used it's ability in a game. This list is mana hungry, so while this card is good in theory (especially with Pathbreaker Ibex, which I'm still running), it hasn't done anything for me in games so far. I'm also keeping Primordial Sage, despite how tempting those Spirit Dragons are... I might change it up later, but the sage has saved me a few times now.

Update for my deck Ruin Crab , Junk Winder , and Deadwood Treefolk are out and Keiga, the Tide Star , Prowling Serpopard and Scavenging Ooze are in. Keiga as you said is to good. Prowling is just an amazing and Ooze is my graveyard hate.

Lonis, Cryptozoologist, kci, Masterful Replication and Academy Manufactor mostly are the clue payoffs. Rise and Shine and Tezzeret, Betrayer of Flesh are stuff I'm considered but need to make cuts somewhere. I do end up cracking them manually time to time.

As for recommendations: Arcum Dagsson is great. You sac a golem token, grab closet and just have an engine to get whatever you want. Junk Winder is great too. Academy Manufactor would get alot of value!

Leaning into the blink/token aspect, I have stuff that wouldn't really work, but feel free to skim through it. I'm doing a small rework leaning since it's been a while since I updated the deck and alot of good stuff has come out recently, so im in the process of making cuts atm, but you can get an idea the decks goal! Its came a long way from it's original conception, getting golems to be strong in edh isnt all that easy as I'm sure you've noticed, haha.

rwn1971 I’ve been considering swapping the Primordial Sage for Keiga, the Tide Star. Of all the spirit dragons I think this one has the most utility for Volo. I’ve been looking at a lot of other potential swaps lately too. Have you had much luck with Junk Winder or Deadwood Treefolk? These look good on paper but I haven’t had much luck with them. I’m working on a big update with these and a few other swaps.

An interesting interaction to include could be the Witch's Oven with Cauldron Familiar combo. While it won’t help hugely with getting Junk Winder online, it does provide a free token every turn, which can be good value.

I know the Simic version of Junk decks use Academy Manufactor to great effect, could be useful here if you end up being able to generate a lot of clues/food/treasure. The only other card i’d recommend considering is Hard Evidence, which is a great spell.

Hey, nice version, but you forgot Whelming Wave?

Frantic Search is a really good enabler for Runo, by discarding a 6 CMC creature and then use the three lands you untap to cast Runo. Lim-Dul's Vault is another excellent enabler since you have a lot of life in Commander.

Reanimation helps when playing so many high CMC creatures and a low amount of lands. With Apprentice Necromancer the creature you reanimate has haste letting it attack to be copied by Krothuss the same turn you reanimate. Obsessive Stitcher is a repeatable looter and can reanimate even at instant speed on your last opponent's turn to then attack with that creature and Krothuss on your turn. Both these reanimation sources are creatures which can be helpful with Krothuss, if the battlefield is clear to attack to copy. Victimize is sac a creature, most likely a token copy, to reanimate any two creatures.

Victimize and Time Warp, etc. here go well with Archaeomancer to recur them to cast again because Archaeomancer is a creature who Krothuss can copy. Can be infinite extra turns for repeatable five mana as long as Krothuss can keep attacking and copying Archaeomancer. Baleful Strix is great to mutate with Sea-Dasher Octopus, making a 2/2 Octopus with flying, deathtouch, draw a card when it ETB and when it does combat damage to a player.

Attacking creature you want to copy with Krothuss, Spawning Kraken, 9/9 Krakens, etc. can really benefit from evasion. Wonder is nice because you can discard it and you have a lot of Islands. Archetype of Imagination is a 6 CMC creature who also makes your creatures nearly unblockable and pairs with Stormtide Leviathan. Junk Winder is a Serpent who pairs well with Spawning to tap down opponent blockers.

I love Gyruda, but by adding him, wouldn't it make us remove almost half the deck? only even cmc are allowed, so Fleet Swallower, Junk Winder, Kraken of the Straits, Scourge of Fleets, etc must go?
