This is a budget EDH deck with power level about 7-8. The goal is to ramp into 7 mana and have Jegatntha on the field. Because of this it is mainly a green deck that is splashing all other colors. The spells and creatures allow you to search for basic lands. This grants access to things like tutors in blue and black or counters in red. From there you dig and tutor for Conflux. Conflux allows you to completely win the game no matter how many opponents are present. Here is how it works.
Conflux search targets:
W: open armory > freed from the real
U: feldigree sages
B: increasing ambition > trading post & door
R: guttural response/red elemental blast
G: orochi leafcaller
Note: there are many routes to getting the correct cards needed with conflux. Search what is best based on your hand and board.
Kasmina can enable the casting of conflux for free from your deck. This is usually done with nissa because she gains loyalty very quickly due to landfall then uses Kasmina’s ability to -8.
Deck thinning usually is not a viable option in EDH but this deck does it VERY well. You grab many lands out of your deck that late game most of your draws are not lands allowing you to continue the pressure. In a top deck situation let game this is amazing.
The goal is to use Jegantha to cast conflux for 3 mana. Then there are two parts that make up this combo. The first part grants you infinite mana. This uses orochi leafcaller, Jegantha and freed from the real. The second part uses door to nothings and eliminates all other players.
You equip freed from the real on Jegantha. Infinitely tap jegantha and spend the blue to untap it. This mana cannot be used for generic costs. How we get around this is with Orochi leafcaller which filters all of our green mana into any color.
Once you make infinite mana you can end the game with the other cards that you grabbed with conflux. Here is how it works. You cast feldigree sages, trading post and door to nothingness. Feldigree sages pays to untap door then you activate door to nothingness eliminating a player. Then you make a goat token with trading post. Untap the trading post with sages to use trading post again to sacrifice the goat token and add back door to hand. Cast door to nothingness and the process repeats.
Please note that with conflux the ruling is that you do not need to grab all 5 cards so if you have no targets for a given color then no worries. All of this combo is backed up by guttural response and red elemental blast that is searchable at the beginning of the combo.
An engine that I found to be great into certain matchups that play a very grindy game is the temur saber tooth engine. This bounces any of your creatures that have enter the battlefield effects so that you can recast them and in the process grants saber tooth protection. This can be used to recur cards from the graveyard, dump mana into drawing, continue ramping or pop creatures. Other support cards included for this strategy are ephemerate to flicker the creature. Reclaim and eternal witness to add cards back to your hand to keep the loop going. Lastly, my favorite, Nissa of Shadowed Boughs. She gains loyalty very quickly and can be a consistent engine in herself to reuse creatures from the graveyard. She can also add eternal witness that has increased flexibility.
An alternate win condition has been included in the case something locks you out of artifacts. Oasis Ritualist creates infinite mana with only Freed from the Reel. Once infinite mama has been established you can infinitely cast Sparkmage Apprentice and bounce it with Temur sabertooth. If you do not have Sparkmage available but you do have something like Elvish Visionary then you can infinitely draw until you have access to Sparkmage.
Another engine is sctue swarm and felidar retreat. This is an alternate win condition that swarms the field with creatures and buffs them simultaneously. Landfall gets even better with a consistent engine previously mentioned to keep placing lands on the board.
