Whenever damage is dealt to a skeleton creature you control, put that many +1/+1 counters on another skeleton creature you control.
Since skeletons have regeneration and recursion, this enchantment makes them a major threat. As is thematically appropriate, you can now attack every turn without fear, since you get value out of damaging the creatures you can recur/regenerate anyway.
So I've had an idea for Ravnica I've not quite fleshed out yet. That's the next challenge. Help me out here.
I want a new set of guildgate lands that better support the guilds they connect to. They also help your typical gate cards like Gates Ablaze and Gatebreaker Ram , but they also thematically show off what the guilds do. Could be something like:
Land - Gate
: Add or .
: Add , , or . Spend this mana only on spells that have Addendum, Detain, or Forecast.
On the other hand, the gate could represent not only where it connects to (i.e. the Azorius Senate), but where it comes from (say... the Conclave Gardens).
Land - Gate
: Add or . If or was spent to activate this mana ability, create an 0/1 green plant creature token.
What do you think? That's your challenge! Go nuts.

Carnival Prize Booth
Whenever a permanent goes to the graveyard from the battlefield, chose one of the following modes at random:
The permanent's owner puts the top three cards from their library into their graveyard, then draws a card.
The permanent's owner discards a card at random, then puts a +1/+1 counter on each of their creatures.
The permanent's owner loses 2 life.
Something for your Mardu and Rakdos enchantment decks. Its randomness makes it less playable but still fun when you run a lot of board wipes and some land destruction.
What this circus really needs is some clowns

Mutant tribal! I love the idea.
Grismburg the Menace
Legendary Creature - Fungus Drake Mutant
Flying, menace, evolve
Other mutants you control have evolve. (Whenever a creature enters the battlefield under your control with greater power or toughness, put a +1/+1 counter on this creature.)
Whenever you cast a spell that targets a mutant you control, put a +1/+1 counter on that creature.

Vil-Xaejo of the Madness Realm
Legendary Creature - Vampire
Whenever a player discards or cycles a card, put a horror counter on Vil-Xaejo of the Madness Realm.
At the beginning of your upkeep, if there are ten or more horror counters on Vil-Xaejo, you win the game.
Remove three horror counters from Vil-Xaejo: Target player discards a card.
4 / 4
Next challenge: A noncreature artifact that somewhere features a keyword you normally see on creatures or sorceries (like Undergrowth, Battalion, Haunt, Extort, etc.)
October 16, 2019 11:41 a.m.
Sidisi, Underworld Despot
Legendary Creature - Naga Shaman
Pay 2 life: You may cast sorcery spells this turn as though they had flash. Sorcery spells you cast this turn gain deathtouch .
You may cast sorcery spells from your graveyard if you sacrifice a creature in addition to paying their other costs.
Partner with Taigam, Deceptive Agent

Taigam, Deceptive Agent
Legendary Creature - Human Wizard
Taigam, Deceptive Agent cannot be blocked.
Whenever Taigam, Deceptive Agent deals combat damage to a player, each player puts the top four cards of their library into their graveyard.
Partner with Sidisi, Underworld Despot

Schemes and Plots
[Artwork depicts them casting spells and summoning zombies together, epic superhero poses]
Choose three (Choose each mode only once):
Put the top three cards of your library into your graveyard.
Create a 2/3 black Zombie Naga creature token.
Schemes and Plots deals 2 damage to up to two target creatures divided as you choose.
Up to two target opponents each discard a card.
I made this and got ninja'd, so make a Commander that uses the Fight mechanic.
October 15, 2019 10:09 p.m.
Wifram the Fell Muse
Legendary Creature - Siren God
Wifram the Fell Muse costs less to cast, where X is your devotion to black.
: Gain control of target creature or enchantment an opponent controls of converted mana cost equal to or less than your devotion to black.
4 / 5
Creature - Phoenix (uncommon)
When Emberfell Phoenix enters the battlefield under your control, it deals 1 damage to each enchantment creature on the battlefield.
At the beginning of your end step, if two or more enchantments were put into your graveyard from anywhere this turn, return Emberfell Phoenix from your graveyard to the battlefield under your control.
3 / 3
I think that completes both cycles.
Crack open the wildcards!

Brygus the Returned
Legendary Creature - Zombie Minotaur
Minotaur creatures you control have first strike.
As long as Brygus the Returned is equipped, it has trample.
Pay 4 life: Attach target equipment with converted mana cost 4 or less to Brygus the Returned.
4 / 3
Continue building out this Rakdos-colored minotaur tribal deck. What else do we need? (targeted removal, tutors, ramp, card draw?)

A vehicle for a planeswalker? Now that I like.
Legendary Artifact - Vehicle
Whenever The Dreamskimmer attacks, the defending player reveals their hand. If you control an Ugin planeswalker, choose a card from that player's hand and put it on top of its owner's library.
Sacrifice The Dreamskimmer: Search your library for an Ugin planeswalker, reveal it, and put it into your hand. Shuffle your library afterward.
4 / 5
An option for you:
Either create a creature with the noble creature type that introduces "Monarch" mechanics to Eldraine
Or make another planeswalker vehicle
October 14, 2019 6:18 p.m.
Creature - Human
Red and green sources deal 1 less damage to other creatures you control.
Allegiance - Only two colors of mana may be used to cast this spell.
When Assistant Orderly enters the battlefield, if blue mana was used to cast this spell, untap target creature you control; if black mana was used to cast this spell, target opponent loses 2 life and you gain 2 life.

The Poisoned Roast Turkey
Enchantment Artifact Creature - Food Bird
Deathtouch, flying, menace
, sacrifice The Poisoned Roast Turkey: You gain 3 life.

Everyone wanted the king dead--the witch, the assassin, the baker. Unfortunately, they didn't coordinate their conspiracy, and what was to be the king's last meal instead became the kingdom's final menace.
It seems to me that, according to the lore, the angels of Innistrad could operate based on the Devotion mechanics from Theros. Create an Innistrad legendary angel that has a Devotion ability.
October 5, 2019 6:20 p.m.
That's why I moved from "exile this card" to "exile it as it resolves", which mtg has used in recent sets.
Enchantment - Aura
Allegiance - Only two colors may be used to cast Spoiled Wastes.
Enchanted land is a Swamp and loses all other land types and abilities.
If red mana was spent to cast Spoiled Wastes, put a blood counter on enchanted land. When a land with a blood counter becomes tapped, its controller sacrifices a creature for each blood counter on it.
If blue mana was spent to cast Spoiled Wastes, put a drain counter on enchanted land. When a land with a drain counter becomes tapped, its controller discards a card for each drain counter on it.
I've been wanting to see more of the black ability we haven't seen in a while that is resource denial/control vis-a-vis land and color change (see: Contaminated Ground , Nightcreep , etc.). (what makes this different from land destruction? functionally, the same, except here and in Contaminated Ground if you have abilities that force opponent lands to be tapped, you can trigger these abilities without waiting around for your opponent to desperately need the mana source. Plus the text leaves it open for you to find ways to get more counters on the land and make the effects even worse)
Next challenge: more Allegiance, but unlike me, remember to keep the text short or else it's basically unprintable
October 5, 2019 10:44 a.m.
Zendikar Fell costs less to cast for each land in your graveyard. Search your library for up to two lands and put them onto the battlefield tapped. Shuffle your library afterward.
Quicken : As an additional cost, exile Zendikar Fell as it resolves and sacrifice a basic land. Search your library for a land and put it onto the battlefield. Shuffle your library afterward.
More quicken. Let's seen a blue, izzet, azorius, or dimir quicken spell.
October 4, 2019 10 p.m.
Put a -1/-1 counter on each creature target opponent controls, then each player loses life equal to the number of -1/-1 counters on creatures they control.
Quicken : As an additional cost, exile this card. Put two -1/-1 counters on target creature. Its controller loses 2 life and can't gain life this turn.
"That'll put a few grays on his head."
October 4, 2019 6:31 p.m.
Creature - Ogre Cyclops
Whenever a nontoken creature enters the battlefield under your control, One-Eyed Rampager fights target creature.
Whenever a player casts a noncreature spell, destroy target artifact.
When One-Eyed Rampager dies, destroy target basic land.
4 / 4
The traditional recklessness of Gruul has been recently understated, imo. So in this card, you have to be careful--if your opponents don't control creatures or artifacts or basic lands, the trigger still resolves and you have to fight or destroy your own. (though as true Gruul, you probably aren't running artifacts)
Rakdos, orzhov, golgari
October 4, 2019 4:35 p.m.
Artifact - Equipment
Equipped creature gets +2/+0 and has first strike and trample.
: Create a white 1/1 human soldier creature token with haste and equip Legionnaire Halberd to it. Activate this ability only as a sorcery.
October 4, 2019 11:01 a.m.
Dovin Baan, the Blind Control
Legendary Planeswalker - Dovin
+1 Until the start of your next turn, counter the first spell cast by each player on that player's turn unless that player pays .
-2 Each opponent returns two nonland permanents they control to their owners' hand.
-7 Each opponent gets an emblem with "At the start of your upkeep, tap four permanents you control and shuffle your library."
Honestly I don't know how a planeswalker would work in an archenemy set so I made it in such a way that it could also be used in normal mtg formats.
October 3, 2019 4:28 p.m.
Artifact - Thopter Vehicle
Faerie Flyer can only be crewed by creatures with exactly 1 power and 1 toughness.
When Faerie Flyer attacks, return target artifact or creature to its owner's hand.
2 / 2
I'm interested in non-creature permanents that you want to return to your hand. Disinformation Campaign and Dovin's Acuity come to mind. Create an enchantment or artifact that comes with its own condition for returning it to your hand.
October 2, 2019 10:16 p.m.
Mastery of Red
Sorcery - Mastery
Mastery of Red deals 5 damage to target creature or planeswalker.
You may cast up to four red instants and/or sorceries of converted mana cost 5 or less you own in exile without paying their mana costs. If you cast Mastery of Red from your hand, exile it after it resolves.
If you own five Masteries of different names in exile, you win the game.
Create a legendary 1/1 that costs one mana. But make it in such a way that it could inspire someone to build a commander deck around it!
October 2, 2019 12:24 p.m.
To make the character limit worthwhile, I think we really need to do what MTG R&D should have done a long time ago: institute "mill" as an official keyword. There is a 50 character difference between "put the top X cards of your library into your graveyard" and "mill X"...
Chancellor of the Spires has 341 characters, and could have saved so much space by instituting "mill" as a keyword...
Although, for a format like this, I'm doubting we'll be milling a whole lot... This kind of D&D/MTG hybrid campaign would probably be mostly combat and adventuring focused.
October 1, 2019 10:28 p.m.
My thought was that it was all simultaneous and that the leader of this thread would retcon our stories and tell us at the end of the week what actually happened. Timmy... erm, I mean, Braux... you're the one who was summoned by the Scream for Help instant. Because yes, let's face it, we're shamelessly running a five-color deck for the duration of this campaign, haha.
Boza is this a correct interpretation of the rules? How does this vehicle actually drive?
