@legendofa I have absolutely nothing against this kind of infinite combo, I'm just not entirely sure if I would want to slot it in the deck outside of that. I suppose it could fairly easily replace Ferocious Pup, as at base level it does a very similar thing, get 2 bodies on the board with the possibility of an infinite. Thoughts on this?

Hey guys, Eagle here.

I'm not very good at Magic...

But building decks and looking at pretty cards gives my brain dopamine, so here I am.

If you want to include infinites, maybe keep it mid-power no infinites?

All the cards on their own aren't terrible, but still a bit kludgy:

Eternal Witness + Temur Sabertooth + Early Harvest + 5 Forest + 4 Forest/Mountain | Infinite Mana for Tovolar, Dire Overlord  Flip ability.

Aluren is good + Ferocious Pup + Cloudstone Curio not super great since you dont have enough ETB? | Infinite wolves

Obviously Earthcraft is good, but Squirrel Nest end of opponent turn, squirrel wolves???

Basalt Monolith ok + Rings of Brighthearth dont think you have many abilities | Infinite mana + an Sensei's Divining Top is also infinite draw

SelfieM: Sounds very well thought out...I get the Art over functionality thing.I sometimes add cards for their concept or art over whether they are the best ie Ferocious Pup is pretty lame but i love the art and concept. I also get the big buff big target dilemma...something I hadn't mentioned and sometimes can be underused in the "untap creature" dynamic (these were recently pointed out to me for Captain Sisay) but Seeker of Skybreak and Manifold Key to untap the Artifact untappers like Thousand-Year Elixir with the added bonus of making target creature unblockable...These could also dependant on what was replaced lower or maintain your already awesome CMC Avg. and in all seriousness that is all my brain could muster.

Upvote purely for the audacity in naming and describing your deck the way you did.

I recommend maxing out as many cards as you can for consistency, unless you just like particular cards too much to cut, which I'd understand. Rot Wolf will psych out a lot of new players because of Infect, but smart players will just tank the Poison Counters until dangerous levels because you have it inconsistently and it will cost you actual damage, so I'd cut it. Skalla Wolf sounds nice, but isn't worth the 5 CMC. Silverfur Partisan is great, but not in this deck as it wants you to run pump spells and the like, unless you play with people who pack spot removal into every deck. Spirit of the Hunt can do some cute tricks but nothing truly meaningful. Lastly, Emerald Medallion can do wonders for acceleration, but you'll lose games by only running one due to inconsistency, I'd personally cut it to include more relevant cards since you realistically only need one on board.

Duskwatch Recruiter  Flip gives you something to do with free mana and maxing Mayor of Avabruck  Flip helps accelerate tokens. Wicked Wolf can put in a lot of work purely because it picks off an opponent's creature on ETB. Ferocious Pup seems decent if you max out on buffs as it creates an additional body on ETB. Timberpack Wolf is worth trying, if only because Wolf as a tribe is limited.

Howlpack Resurgence is worth maxing due to Flash, and trying out Curse of Predation could be worthwhile for keeping your field swole. It's not truly a Wolf, but Metallic Mimic puts in work for tribal decks.

Hope this helps.

Seems like Supreme Verdict and other boardwipes could be a real headache for you. How about Heroic Intervention to help protect your board?

Maybe remove the Woodland Champion . It's a nice synergy, but really it's too thin with everything else crammed in here. Stalking Drone can get removed, too.

You could add Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma to help get the Forerunners out sooner. If you did that, something like Wolfbriar Elemental would be a lot more feasible too, and give you a way bigger reward for your mana than say Ferocious Pup .

Well of Lost Dreams would be a pretty powerful inclusion in combination with your commander for the recurring card draw. Fecundity could also help with getting more draws, and getting your creatures to die isn't so complicated with a competent opponent and sending out a wolf to fight with Tolsimir. Plus, it could combo into another card suggestion, Feed the Pack , which lets you convert some of the more disposable non-token creatures into a bunch of wolf tokens. Vigor helps a ton for Tolsimir's theme of fighting stuff.

Also, I think you could do with a couple more wolves, given how well the commander synergizes with them. Master of the Wild Hunt not only summons them, but also gives you the opportunity to get another fight trigger just in case you might need it. I would additionally replace Arlinn's Wolf or something similar with Ferocious Pup due to it having token synergies.

Since you're worried about flying creatures, consider swapping something out for Gravity Well , as it more or less gets rid of the mechanic entirely. I would personally swap out Spidersilk Net for it, seeing as you won't really need it. You might also want to get rid of all those destroy flying creature spells, seeing as all you really need is for your commander to be out for you to suddenly transform a hand of wolves into a hand of removal.

Not really sure why you included the two Werewolves in this deck. They don't synergize with anything aside for Nightpack Ambusher and they're very lackluster, especially since you have to rely on your opponents not casting anything for them to be worthwhile. I much prefer the idea of having an elf subtheme instead, especially since it gives you access to an elf to champion for Wren's Run Packmaster , one of the more powerful cards you can have in a Tolsimir deck. Sure you could champion Tolsimir himself, but if you can have both of them out at the same time, you get to essentially remove any creature you want (provided it's not indestructible) whenever a wolf comes out, which will be all the time due to Packmaster's ability. Some other good elves would be Primal Forcemage to help out your wolves with fighting when they enter the battlefield, Wood Elves to replace one of your ramp spells like Rampant Growth , Reclamation Sage to replace Naturalize , and Rhys the Redeemed for even more token generation.

And, like ZendikariWol suggested, some changelings like Metallic Mimic could easily fit in the deck and provide support for the wolf tribal. But, they also double as elves, and as such can provide the best of both worlds if you decide to incorporate an elf subtheme. An example I quite like of a Tolsimir wolf/elf deck that incorporates changelings would be Wolfgain Amadeus, for reference.
