I’ld consider any to all of these:

The ones that show up in your suggestions are the ones I would for sure make room for because they give a constant boost to toughness. And one that shuts down a lot of creatures.

Ran into the same problem in my deck. Try Unbreakable Formation and Aven Warcraft for protection. As for removal, Beast Within is the only thing I can think of right now. Check out my list. Maybe you’ll find something there that will fit into your deck.

Have you thought of using Tower Defense instead of Heroic Intervention as your signature spell? TD is useful both in offense and defense while HI seems more like a defensive spell. Aven Warcraft is also another spell you might want to consider using. I’ve found it to be quite effective against my group.

When the Appeal has get cast, you have the option to return it to the Command zone, but you can let it go to the graveyard. When the Authority part is cast, it's then exiled from the graveyard - changing zones again, and allowing it to be put back into the Command zone. So, for 1+2 mana, a creature gets a boost, and blockers get tapped down. The cost for the 2nd half doesn't have commander tax on it, since it's not being cast from the command zone.

All the cards you listed are still in the 'almost made it pile' except for Aven Warcraft . I don't anticipate games lasting long enough for threshold to become relevant. The others just didn't make the cut, or didn't have synergy the way I wanted, but that may change once the deck has seen play. Still trying to get my friends to build Oathbreaker decks!

Interesting Signature Spell. How exactly does the Aftermath mechanic work if the signature spell is always sent to the command zone after it is cast?

Have you considered cards like Treefolk Umbra , Unbreakable Formation , Aven Warcraft and Tireless Tribe ? I think they can fit in the deck quite nicely.

I likewise have a Huatli deck but I built it to run somewhat similar to a mono green infect deck. If you find the time, please check it out.

Tower Defense or Aven Warcraft would be great Signature Spells here. Tireless Tribe has also provided me with quick wins. If you have the time, check my Huatli deck out. I think you'll find some pieces there that will fit well in your deck.

Love the deck name! Very befitting. My Doran build I'm working on is vastly different, but I like seeing a different deck like this for comparison. I'm thinking of trying to utilize the treefolk tribal. That said, I have a lot of non-treefolk tribal cards that aren't included here too. Here are some suggestions to give you food for thought:

Birds of Paradise, Selvala, Explorer Returned, Oketra the True, Vhati il-Dal, Vizier of the Menagerie, Seedborn Muse, Pontiff of Blight, Ulvenwald Observer, Angel of Serenity, Craterhoof Behemoth, Aven Warcraft, Foul Renewal, Eland Umbra, Spidersilk Armor, Mirari's Wake, Sight of the Scalelords and Volrath's Stronghold.

I second the suggestions for Lifecrafter's Bestiary, Abzan Beastmaster and Defense of the Heart. Survival of the Fittest also couldn't hurt. Burgeoning is another strong suggestion, gonna add that to my list of potential additions to my deck.

I need to thank you for the inspiration for me to consider Arachnogenesis and Pernicious Deed as well!

My list is much more creature-oriented, but I think Doran ought to be a creature deck first, so maybe scaling back a little of the targeted removal would be a good idea. However, I don't know who you're up against either, so perhaps you feel you need it worse than I do.

One last thing, while Eternal Witness doesn't fit Doran's little power-swap, I think it's strictly better than Skullwinder in any given situation. But that's my preference.
