4th place in last FNM! :D Better than I expected I just lost to Slaughter Games, that bitch removed all my Entreat the Angels from game, and to a Humans/Boros. That time I didn't get any Feeling of Dread, wich was the best card of the all games.

The landbase is flexible, but ugly. Let's work some fetches and shocks into it somewhere, without losing the stability of the Vivid lands.

So, I killed someone. Generally a bad strategy, but I went really hard on one player in a 4 way, not totally sure how I didn't get rocked harder than I did. Basically someone attacked me multiple times after I threatened retaliation. They lost their library pretty quickly after that, though I lost a good amount of life. At that point I started playing for second, as two aggro decks went at it. In the end one of them had to choose between killing either one of us after a nice bit of land destruction, and decided to go after me since he didn't know what kind of shenanigans I could do. Wrong choice seeing as the other player topdecked the land he needed and was able to flashback something to get 2 dragons onto the field, but it wouldn't have really mattered much anyways since he would have won either way.
In the other game, also 4 player, I don't really remember much of what happened, but it ended up with me being unattackable (at the cost of 8 mana a turn) so Ghave's horde became functionally infinite but couldn't do anything. I also couldn't do anything since i was tied down with the Clockspinning my Chronomantic Escape twice every turn, so he eventually won when he comboed out with the card on the very bottom of his library Blood Artist + his lots of tokens (he couldn't quite make infinite, but we decided that he had enough after the lots of turns of doing nothing else) + a sac engine (one of which let him draw a card for 2 mana, which he used to get the artist off the bottom of the library) is how he eventually won. (I think I need some more forced draw spells, I can kill, but not fast enough).

Krenko + Infernal Plunge + Brimstone Volley Gone.

Yeah, this combo had to go. Its just too hard to pull off, even tho its really cheesy if it hits. Added some endgame playability and control in form of Mizzium Mortars, Devil's Play and more!

Here's the update for it to still be Standard after Rotation. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Nice deck, few little changes....

Last FNM I was 2x2.... I'm really enjoying my new deck. It's very aggro, and It's nice to see the reactions when I show a few cards...
I got two Blood Crypt so I put one more mana to be more confortable play with the deck. I put plus one Rakdos Cackler because It's cheap, It's agressive and It's a option to sacrifice to save Falkenrath Aristocrat...
Some friends tried to convince me to take off Blood Artist, but I really think that it can work. I have to test...
Oh! I have to say: Slaughter Games is the best sidedeck card EVER!!!!!

schribes7762, 12 years ago
Removed Gatstaf Shepherd Flips. The weren't flipping, and werewolves aren't too big. My best bet is definitely Invisible Stalker. That's usually how I get most of my damage in. I needed more control than a few Oblivion Rings, so I added Supreme Verdict as a board wipe, and Detention Sphere. Azorius Charm is great for setting opponent back a turn, and Righteous Blow is a nice unexpected burn on their creatures. I found that detain is a great ability! It prevents aggro decks from attacking, or decks with less aggro from blocking.

1 - 2 First game lost due to no creatures coming out on the 1st and 3rd game, it was totally ridiculous. Did manage to get a turn 4 win with Rally the Peasants. |
2 - 1 Second game win, he made a mistake that meant he couldn't play his Devastation Tide due to Thalia. Managed to get a second turn 4 win with Rally the Peasants. |
2 - 1 Third game win, Played a Bant Control deck. One game was tight but I managed to pull through, I think with Rally again. |
2 - 1 Fourth game win, Pure Red Aggro. Divine deflection saved me from a most horrible death. Really tight third game, but managed to win with Slayers' Stronghold. |
0 - 2 Fifth game loss, Grixis Control. This was a horrible game, Turn one Judge's Familiar, turn 2 double Champion, syncopated so I sacked the familiar. They then got detention sphered so I had no board presence. silverblade, detention, hellrider detention. then nothing. |
Play off's were then held. 2 - 1 win against Epic Experiment deck. Very fun tight game.

Decided to play it at FNM. I was amazed but it actually came close to winning frequently. During tournament it lost by a hair most games (except when they pithing my rats), but in casual games it was 50/50 against the other tournament decks. The fog/populate is rediculous. The deck usually starts winning there. It really pumps your team and saves you a turn of damage. Most people can't compete with that followed by a token generation the following turn.

You Have Chosen...Poorly/Transformers! Werewolves in Disguise! vs. Mono Black/UR Guttersnipe.
Changed the following for multiplayer format -
-4 Dramatic Rescue, -3 Inaction Injunction, +4 Azorius Charm, +2 Supreme Verdict, +1 Sphinx's Revelation
In one of the longest Two-Headed Giant games I've ever played, Blood Artist + Mutilate nullified the werewolves and my early life gain. Fortunately Elixir of Immortality and a timely Sphinx's Revelation for 5 allowed me to cast Fog 7 times during the game. Our opponents weren't happy.
Eventually the werewolves stabilized and between my control and Kessig Wolf Run we put an end to the madness.
Overall despite drawing one Chalice of Life Flip during the game I was happy with the results. With Blood Artist and my teammate running werewolves Supreme Verdict became a dead card so I'm glad I only ran 2. Can't plan for Blood Artist before the match starts.

Deathrite Shaman has found a home in the mainboard, as the reach it provides is just too useful. The removal suite continues to be a work in progress, and I'm trying the costly but effective Sever the Bloodline as an answer to cards like Huntmaster and Olivia that neither Victim of Night nor Ultimate Price can hit. I may remove the pair of Abrupt Decay in the sideboard for a singleton of both Ultimate Price and Victim of Night. I continue to stand by Golgari Charm in the mainboard, as I am rarely unhappy to draw it. Against ramp, a t2 charm using the -1/-1 mode puts off that thragtusk coming down for another turn, and doesn't kill any of our 1-drops save Gravecrawler, who doesn't particularly mind dying. Against UW, it combats D-sphere as well as supreme verdict, and against decks splashing red, it can save us against mortars, miracle bonfire, and even pillar in a pinch. It's a card that I usually end up holding for several turns, but I eventually get a chance to use to great effect.

I finished the initial decklist, I'm still looking for suggestions though. I'll post game stats after some testing on cockatrice.

I've been getting too many Parallel Lives recently, so I'm trading out the Ajani and a parallel lives for 2 Garruk, Primal Hunters.
Changed out Call of the Conclaves for Selesnya Charms. I've been testing against a friend's jund deck, and these help out so much more. We'll see if they stay after this friday. For SB, I'm putting in an Acidic Slime, and I have one more spot, which for now will be a Triumph of Ferocity.
Also looking to add Angel of Serenity sideboard against control decks.

Here's a nice update
knownasnieves, 12 years ago
Played some casual games with friends and this deck performed really well. Not 4-0 material yet but I'm sure I'm close .
So here's my update and explanation why primordial was taken out.
Primordial was never really useful against somethin like jund . I could use the mana I used to cast primordial for kessig or flashback increasing savagery or play more spells. its just better then waiting an entire turn just to play out a practical startegy. It just became so worrying when I was going to play it that I can just use the mana for more then just one card . Idk play test play test playtest until I figure if primordial will even come back .
Now to explain why Rakdos, Lord of Riots is just amazing in many ways.since I'm always doing damage its going to be easy to cast and he makes my creatures cost less for casting. Also it has trample which is huge since I can throw some counters on it or worse il just block lol .
Anyway I was highly considering to add Thundermaw Hellkite since there are so many decks right now that has flying, so something to consider.
