Three Visits > Rampant growth

Have you considered swapping out River Song's Diary for Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth? Diary doesn't seem to be on theme while Yavimaya is another land which you might find helpful given your land count. You have a low avg cmc of 3.06 which is lovely. I do wonder how often you have difficulty getting the lands you need. Yavimaya, while risking helping other decks get their colors, allows you to tap maze of ith for mana and make your PW Nissa's static ability even more useful.

Perhaps a Cloud Key or even a Semblance Anvil to help reduce either creatures or artifacts?

Maybe a Creeping Renaissance to recur about 20% of your deck?

Lastly, Beast Within for removal.

Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth would allow you to untap any of your lands.

In my personal decklist (Chatterfang Casual EDH), I have 3 win cons :

  • Lifedrain (with Bastion of Remembrance, Zulaport Cutthroat and Blood Artist), which is the most reliable one, as it usually kills all my opponents at once. With Chattefang, it's easy to reach 20+ drains, which is huge in late game.

  • Big tokens (with cards like Creakwood Liege, Return of the Wildspeaker, Craterhoof Behemoth (more expensive this one)), which can easily kill your opponent if you have 10+ squirrel on the battlefield. Garruk, Cursed Huntsman isn't a bad addition in the deck, but I think it's a bit "slow", as it will need at least 1 full turn of table before having the emblem. Your opponents will usually focus it and kill it during this time.

  • Commander Damage, it doesn't happen often (to be honest, I never killed someone with commander damage in more than 20 games). But it is useful if you play against a lifegain deck or a stax deck. Commander damage can easily be done when you buff all your squirrels (including Chatterfang), and you can also sacrifice X squirrels to give +X/-X to Chatterfang. It's also why I suggested Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth, which make your commander unblockable (and is a good land anyway). The BLB card The Odd Acorn Gang you put in the deck also helps this win condition.

Additionally, Pitiless Plunderer and Warren Soultrader are cards that wins you the game always all the time you'll play it with Chatterfang, as they'll give you almost-infinite mana and ETB/LTB trigger.

Another win condition would be to add Ivy Lane Denizen, which combo with Scurry Oak and give you an infinite/infinite creature and infinite 1/1 squirrels. You may need to add some creature tutor to get both of the cards at the same time (I would suggest Chord of Calling, Dig Up, Diabolic Tutor and Fauna Shaman as buget card. You may also add more expensive card like Vampiric Tutor or Demonic Tutor).

As you say, with the new BLB card, it may exist other win conditions, which can involve food token.

I think you shouldn't focus on one particular win condition. Having more than one way to win can make your deck more reliable (that is my opinion, it may not be true). However, focusing on 1 or 2 win conditions will help you cut some card and having a better deck (it's a question of perfectly balance, as all think should be).

I will also suggest you Acorn Harvest which give you squirrel (not a very strong card, but for 6 mana it creates you 4 squirrels (8 with Chatterfang), not bad).

As cut suggestions, I would suggest Acorn Catapult (which I find very expensive, just to create 1 Squirrel by turn), Cloakwood Hermit (as it need "creature card" put in your graveyard. However, token aren't cards (rule 111.6. A token is subject to anything that affects permanents in general or that affects the token’s card type or subtype. A token isn’t a card) so it doesn't work (I thought about this card when a friend suggests it to me, I was disappointed to learn this rule :( )) and Squirrel Mob (on paper, the card seems good in the deck, but fill the board with tokens is better than having a big creature that will be blocked by anything). I also find Squirrel Sanctuary a bit slow (but it combos with Earthcraft, which I don't have because of its price, but make Squirrel Sanctuary strong). Wrap in Vigor is literally a Golgari Charm in less good (its only advantage is that is cost instead of ). Toski, Bearer of Secrets is also a card I find a bit slow. I bought it for my deck, but it never convinced me, and I would prefer Driven / Despair to it, which can also help you win, or other draw cards (Village Rites, Plumb the Forbidden...). Finally, Putrefy is not the most relevant card in the deck, as you already have a lot of Artifact/Enchantment removal, and Chatterfang is a creature removal. You may prefer Nature's Claim or Maelstrom Pulse as removal, or add more token synergy card (you can also add Crack Open, which is similar to Pest Infestation in the deck (I need to buy Pest Infestation, it seems incredible in a Chatterfang deck))

Very good deck with the new Bloomsborrow cards. I also made a deck (less expensive haha) of Chatterfang, and I would suggest you to add Spawning Pit which is really strong with drain card like Bastion of Remembrance, Zulaport Cutthroat and Blood Artist (which are the main wincon in my deck).

I would also add that the deck needs his commander, and you should add some creature protection. You already have some, but I would suggest Malakir Rebirth  Flip, Fake Your Own Death, Golgari Charm or Lightning Greaves. You may also add Crop Rotation that can tutor Swarmyard (and Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth which make your Chatterfang, Squirrel General unblockable thanks to Forestwalk).

As good token generator (but not in the tribal theme), you can look at Creakwood Liege (which buff your creatures in addition to create token), Emrakul's Evangel (similar to Nested Shambler), Growth Spasm (correct ramp but will create you a token), Khalni Garden (land that create a token !) or Tireless Provisioner (which I personally don't play, but you have some food synergies in the deck).

I don't know if you have played your deck yet (as BLB card are not released yet), but I think your deck has a bit lack of ramp/land (I may be wrong, as you have some good mana dorks and treasure creation).

I hope you'll have fun playing this deck, good luck !

Just proxy up the following and play it against the person in question:

Lands by Dominic Harvey

...and swap out 1x Boseiju, Who Endures, 1x Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth, 1x Dark Depths, one copy of something that doesn't do anything against the person (i.e. cut Bojuka Bog if they don't have graveyard strategies), and put in 4x Strip Mine.

They'll understand why Strip Mine is broken once you lock them out under Sphere of Resistance and Life from the Loam.

I like every single creature in the deck at this point. I have 5 suggestions: 4 for your land base and 1 for removal. Somewhat expensive suggestions but nothing too crazy.

  • I would cut any two of the lands that have "enters tapped unless you control two or more other lands" for Mana Confluence and City of Brass. These lands NEVER enter tapped and give you all your colors. Grand Coliseum is a decent budget option. It does enter tapped, but also gives the option for colorless mana and no damage. You are running a high enough count of the "enters tapped unless you control two or more lands" lands that some will enter tapped in the early game. Reducing them down to 1-2 is better.
  • I'd cut another of the "enters tapped unless you control two or more lands" lands for Polluted Delta but you are already aware you need delta so this is more of a reminder.
  • Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth is an AMAZING card you should consider. It is a essentially an untapped forest itself, but it lets all your lands tap for green, including colorless lands. In your deck, in addition to fixing green mana for the rest of the game, it will 1.) allow your colorless lands like Cavern of Souls, Haven of the Spirit Dragon, and Crucible of the Spirit Dragon to tap for green without a catch 2.) allow all of your fetchlands to tap for green without having to sac them and 3.)allow things like Mana Confluence to tap for green without dealing any damage.
  • I would swap Putrefy for Anguished Unmaking. Putrefy is a good card, but unmaking is pretty much strictly better. Has a wider target selection and exiles. Putrefy is best used in Black/Green decks. When some jerk plays the One Ring against you, you'll be glad to have unmaking.

The situation I am asking about is having Nissa, Who Shakes the World, a bounce land like Simic Growth Chamber, and Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth on the battlefield.

With Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth causing lands to be forests and Simic Growth Chamber tapping for a green and a blue, does Nissa, Who Shakes the World cause Simic Growth Chamber to tap for TWO green and a blue, or does Simic Growth Chamber simply gain the ability to tap for a single green?

These cards all have retro frames and I would like to add the retro version of Bolas's Citadel to a deck but I can't figure out the set code to use. I know better than to spam an alternate art to the database but I would appreciate some help on adding these specific versions. I also know that just because a particular artwork doesn't show up on the card's page for this site, it doesn't mean it's not in the database. An example would be the retro Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth. It doesn't appear on the card's main page, but if you input MH2:441, it works. Referencing scryfall, the set code for these cards appears to be PLG21 but this doesn't get the card when entered on this site as the set symbol.
