Mirri of a Thousand Cuts

Commander / EDH

MartinGary

Aggro is notoriously difficult in multiplayer. You can easily over-extend into board wipes and run out of gas pretty quickly unless you can get everything out in one single turn.

Enter Vampires! Zombies are cool and all as a mono-black tribe, but nothing beats tapping all your guys sideways in the knowledge that you'll gain enough life back to make any counter-attacks meaningless. Mono-black solves a lot of the aggro problem, as well: Card draw and reanimation give insane amounts of resiliency.

Mirri and friends are small and no one single-handedly dominates when they come out. Thus, we never strive to win out of nowhere in a single turn. Our goal is to drain 4-7 life from each opponent continuously, without there being anything anyone can do about it, until we inevitably win. Death by a thousand cuts.
