• Waste Not -> Dark Deal If we only have three lands and no ramp this is typically the play. Generates a great deal of value and makes up for the slow start very quickly

• Geier Reach Sanitarium + Waste Not or Waste Not + Words of Waste Both of these lines work much the same way, but Words of Waste needs to see Maralen leave the board before it works(due to the players can't draw cards clause on Maralen).
