Join into the infamous Ashen Guild

This deck commanded by Laughing Jasper Flint brings to the table the whole gang composed by assassins, thieves, pirates and more! no place will be safe from the plunderin' whether it be the sea or land... or the deck or the graveyard or even the battlefield of your enemies since also their creatures would eager to join your outlaw guild.

Ramp and Treasures

there are many ways to ramp up, other than the usual mana artifacts you can also "borrow" some of your enemies with Treasure Nabber or do it yourself with Rodeo Pyromancers. Also, the plundering crew will be happy to help the cause by "discovering lost treasures" some of them include Pitiless Plunderer, Locke, Treasure Hunter and also a very good boardwipe: Blood Money

Card Draw and Sacrificial Cards

if you instead need to draw cards you can count on some of my favorite methods to do so like using Shadow, Mysterious Assassin, Staff of Eden, Vault's Key and Insatiable Avarice. many of these things will require you to sacrifice permanents but that is no problem since we have some great sacrifice fodder: i'm sure that the Forsaken Miner can't wait to be put in and out the battlefield every turn, maybe even multiple times if you get the hang of it. if that doesn't suffice you can then count on some mercenaries that will jopin the team every turn like At Knifepoint and Brimstone Roundup. Gisa, the Hellraiser is also a must have for this deck

but now that we cleared out the small things, let's get to the big stuff: the Gang Recruiters and the Damage Dealers.

Stealing

as you can see the majority of the cards are specialized in stealing. the concept is that you will "secretly" mill your opponent deck by putting the cards in exile and later you can cast them with mana of any color (or even without paying!) my favorites cards to do this constantly are Court of Locthwain, Mari, the Killing Quill and Grenzo, Havoc Raiser. some of them are kind of situational like Robber of the Rich but it's extremely good for its cost, and Gonti, Lord of Luxury that can only do it once but you can chose among 4 cards. not even their graveyards are safe because Tinybones, the Pickpocket will be sure to empty also that.

Damage

but now how to deal damage to the enemy? the executioners are ready to help with that. one of the easiest one to put on the board is Hellspur Brute that can easily be a 5/4 with trample for only ! Port Razer will let you attack more than once each turn, combo that with Massacre Girl, Known Killer and your opponents creatures will deal no damage after a while. Vadmir, New Blood and Blood Hustler are the perfect vampire couple as they both will get stronger for every crime you commit. There are also a couple sources that will heal you while damaging foes that are extremely good, those are: Zulaport Cutthroat and Rakish Crew can easily give you a win condition.

Removal and counterspell

this deck doesn't come short in terms of removals and it also contains a counterspell! card: Royal Assass is one of my fav, it can be situational but your opponents creatures have to tap sooner or later. for more direct removal you can use Shoot the Sheriff or Dead Before Sunrise and if you are dealing with some sort of artifacts then Vandalblast. your only counterspell for this deck will be Return the Favor that is a red spell with spree that let you copy a spell and also deflect it to someone else. also a well all-around card is Great Train Heist as you can see it can do a good bunch of stuff

It doesn't end here...

There are also a good amout of graverobbers in the deck that can help you get back your creatures if something doesn't end well for the crew. my favorites include Back in Town wich is extremely cheap if you consider that for every is an outlaw directly from the graveyard to the battlefield. Archpriest of Shadows will resurrect a creature with every attack that hit the player and Kaervek, the Punisher will do the same for every crime committed if you pay 2 life.

Thanks for your attention, hope you like my deck and if you do so check my profile for more budget, strong themed decks!!

also note:

both Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer and Generous Plunderer are in the sideboard. I've put them there because they are not cheap but i was lucky to pull them so they are in my deck, they are not required to so be mindfull. in the maybeboard instead you will find a lot of cards that could be inserted in the deck if you like them but i either considered them less important or i removed them because i needed space.

HAVE FUN!
