This deck is meant to be a somewhat budget friendly deck and a starting point to mono black aristocrats.

As an aristocrats deck we are playing several creatures that gain value from their death and the deaths of other creatures.

The 4 main value we accrue from death are Cards, Mana, Bodies, and Life. Our card engines like midnight Reaper work best with non token bodies so the deck has several creatures that can return themselves from the graveyard for a small mana investment.

Several cards are redundant and even more could be replaced with tutors or stronger effects if your budget allows.

Now Apart from generalities. Our commander doesn't care about non token creatures she only cares about black creatures so the tokens made by Ogre slumlord or Nightmare Shepard can double dip.

The game winning state is having one recursive body, one sac outlet, one blood artist effect, and the mana to pull it off. The most straight forward version of this loop would be running out Ayara, Carrion Feeder, gravecaller and Pitiless plunderer. Every time you sac the gravecrawler you make a treasure. Every time you recast gravecrawler with the treasure you drain 1 life with ayara.
