Norin, the Wary is tired of the occupation of those stronger than him; and he's assembled a rag-tag group of friends to help him do hit and run tactics to see his home freed.

What is this deck?

This is a casual Mono-R ETB deck, featuring Norin the way at the helm. It is intended to gain big value from creature ETBs, either through damage or a number of other effects.

How do you win?

Every turn Norin is out and something happens, he exiles. When he reappears, he triggers any number of permanents which have ETB triggers; do direct damage with Warstorm Surge or Impact Tremors, mill your opponents a bit with Altar of the Brood, or get some value with things like Tome of Legends. Every equipment which auto equips to creatures on ETB is in this deck, such that a Norin coming down (ignoring the damage doublers this deck runs such as Angrath's Marauders, Furnace of Rath or Fiery Emancipation) can hit for even more damage than you could ever dream. Runaway Steam-Kin and Grinning Ignus also go infinite for infinite ETB triggers; providing a win condition that will surely have you hated out by your group :)

Other creatures in this deck are low to the ground to get even more value out of this; all the Kobols of Kher Keep and their friends are here, as are cheap token generators. Mono-R staples I had lying around found themselves in this deck and work pretty effectively to keep the tempo up. Use a Skullclamp on Norin or some small creatures to draw tons of cards, use some Chandra, Awakened Inferno's or her ilk to interact with the board state, or just go for the big Mycosynth Lattice + Vandalblast for gruesome effects.

As a last resort, and for some fun, this deck also runs Confusion in the Ranks as it's easily abused with Norin the Wary. Risky Move is in here for the same reason, and might just be the ticket to a victory in your future.

I've played this deck a few times now and it's quite effective at what it does, and maybe you'll have some fun with it too.
