A vampire deck built with Anowon in mind. A theme that is running through the deck is pleasure for pain. With the suffering of my opponent's, my life total grows.

Killer combo of the deck: Mindcrank + Bloodchief Ascension.

As new sets have come out, I've been looking for new vampires or support cards to add to the deck.When I saw Necropolis Regent, I knew that I had a must-include. This card makes every vampire in the deck a threat. Creatures that double in size every time they connect with an opponent is quite good. I took out Markov Patrician because her ability was okay, but not spectacular.

I decided to put in Bloodhusk Ritualist because I decided a needed a way to decimate an opponent's hand to get rid of threats before they come down. Geth's Verdict was removed to accommodate her because I have plenty of removal in the deck.

I added Shadow Alley Denizen because she's a good support card. Giving a threat intimidate when another vampire enters the battlefield is a good way to score damage. Her low casting cost doesn't hurt either. I took out Ancient Craving because I had plenty of ways to draw cards.

OUT: Markov Patrician, Geth's Verdict, Ancient Craving

IN: Necropolis Regent, Bloodhusk Ritualist, Shadow Alley Denizen
