Introduction Show

Dragons and making massive plays have always been my favourite parts of Magic, so today I present to you Ryusei's Clone n' Clear Carnival!

How does this deck function? Show

This deck aims to use clone effects like Minion Reflector and Flameshadow Conjuring to make copies of Ryusei that die to the legend rule so that we can wipe the board continuously.

How does this deck aim to win? Show

This deck has a plethora of dragons and creatures that are able to survive Ryusei's ability, so after blockers are cleared we can swing in for the win. Alternatively, there are cards like Coalhauler Swine and Mogg Maniac that deal damage to players if they are damaged. Combined with many clones of Ryusei and maybe Arcbond, they may be able to stack enough triggers to kill everyone.

What about removal? Show

Since Ryusei can clear a lot of ground threats, what about flying threats? Goblin Skycutter, Burning Palm Efreet and Phyrexian Splicer all have the job of grounding enemy threats and then killing them. Alternatively, Predator, Flagship does a good job of shooting down flying threats itself, and can give creatures flying for destruction.

Why are some of the cards in this deck sub-par? Show

Because I had trouble cutting the deck down to $20. Some cards were originally very helpful to the gameplan, but ultimately cut due to their cost, such as Mimic Vat and Soul of New Phyrexia.
