Serra's Guardian

Creature — Angel

Flying (This creature can't be blocked except by creatures with flying or reach.)

Vigilance (Attacking doesn't cause this creature to tap.)

Other creatures you control have vigilance.

ok, cut the following:

Noble Purpose, Defy Death, Entreat the Angels, Angel of Grace, Angel of Sanctions (for Christs sake just run Path to Exile ), Avacyn, Guardian Angel, Serra's Guardian, Segovian Angel, Daxos, Blessed by the Sun (you're not going wide when you play one expensive angel a turn), Angel of Dawn.

Add more efficient angels, and add better removal/board wipes.

Hey, nice start, mono white can be tricky to build and play in Commander. You have Avacyn, Angel of Hope, make her the Commander? This is Angel tribal, but using Elesh Norn as Commander is strange...

No matter the Commander with Angel tribal Angels take up most, if not all, the high CMC spots in the deck because the best Angels have high CMCs. My advice is cut the majority of the other nonAngel high CMC (5 CMC or higher) cards. Ramp and Angels should be priority.

Cards to consider cutting right away because they're not as good as other cards or are redundancy you don't need:

This is 20 cards that doing a quick look over are subpar compared to the rest. The next 10 cards are cut to streamline by choosing the most important cards at different CMCs and cutting the others. Cards to consider cutting:

The last four cards is where it gets difficult to make cuts, but continue to streamline:

Hopefully this info helps and I offer more advice especially if you change to Avacyn, Angel of Hope as Commander since there's several good interactions to take advantage of.

Good luck with your deck.

Love to see another Angel EDH deck made here on tapped out. I am also working on an EDH Angel Tribal Deck Angels Brought The Apocalypse. It's defiantly on the competitive side but noticed we share a lot of cards already. Also depending on what you mean by making them cheap, here's my recommendation list.

Cheap Angels to add maybe: Angel of Finality , Exquisite Archangel , Serra's Guardian , Sephara, Sky's Blade , Reya Dawnbringer , Resolute Archangel , Deathless Angel , and Twilight Shepherd .

Expensive Angels you could add: Akroma, Angel of Wrath , Angel of the Dire Hour , Baneslayer Angel , Archangel of Tithes , Karmic Guide , and Platinum Angel .

Looking at your deck already I definitely recommend adding Deathless Angel , Baneslayer Angel , Sephara, Sky's Blade , and Serra's Guardian .

Lastly, if this deck is already made, Shalai, Voice of Plenty cannot be in your mono white deck because there is green in its color identity. Even though green is not in its casting cost it has green in its ability. That's why Golos, Tireless Pilgrim is considered a five color commander even though he is still colorless.

Thanks for the suggestions Joe_Ken_! I love your deck, having a double attack phase can definitely cause some crazy life gain. I feel like it's rare to see another Angel fan! Although are decks are definitely different they look to do the same thing.

First off I have both Endless Atlas and Mask of Memory . I found that discarding cards hurts me more that anything and paying 2 mana for one card isn't enough for me.

I also own Angelic Skirmisher and Serra's Guardian which I'm now considering adding back because vigilance is amazing in this deck.

Urza's Incubator is a great call! I'd love to add that in there but taking something out would be so hard to do. D: Back to the drawing board.

Semblance Anvil is a great find! But I wouldn't want to get rid of any of my angel's but early game that might be a great thing to do to jump start the game.

I've considered Aetherflux Reservoir but I'd rather just never die by trying to become unkillable with the win condition being Test of Endurance .

Rather than True Conviction I'd recommend Akroma's Memorial however, that card is currently in my Golos Eldrazi deck.

The way I see it so far is if I added True Conviction I would then add both Angelic Skirmisher and Serra's Guardian for vigilance. OR I'd add Urza's Incubator and Semblance Anvil and maybe add back Akroma's Memorial . Sadly taking things out to add things in is such a hard decision to make. Is there anything you'd swap out for these three cards?

Why not Murderous Rider instead of Murder ? It targets planeswalkers and gives you a 2/3 lifelink knight you can cast later.

There are a lot of under-powered cards in this deck. I understand if you're trying to keep it budget, and if you really are then just ignore me, but if you want to make it competitive, I'd recommend removing the following cards: Ardenvale Paladin , Barrow Witches , Knight of New Benalia (which isn't standard legal), Knight of the Keep , Lonesome Unicorn , Serra's Guardian (doesn't seem to fit the deck), All That Glitters , Ordeal of Heliod (also not standard-legal), Silverflame Ritual . That's frankly most of your deck, and I didn't include some cards that are kind of iffy. Check out some other orzhov knights lists, and try to get high power cards. My baseline for what card is worth the mana to cast it is that one mana gets you one power and one toughness (so a 1/1 is one mana, a 2/2 is two, etc.) really that's a low-level of power, so anything below that should never be used unless it has an ability that makes it worth it.

Like I said, if you're just playing casually and don't want to spend much money, ignore this comment completely because it's more for a competitive deck.

Thanks for the follow-up, Zerraphon! I actually used to play Angelic Field Marshal , but it actually got cut after it was a vanilla 3/3 for 4 too often! I didn't like how dependent it was on having Kestia: The Aura out to be of any real value. Serra's Guardian certainly costs more (and I'm still annoyed at it not having a foil printing), but I quite like how it serves an immediate role as soon as it hits the table, and isn't dependent on me having Kestia out to do so!

Serra's Guardian has actually been weirdly effective. I often consider cutting it for a Reconnaissance or something of the sort, but every time I draw it, it pulls its weight and more. Really appreciate your advice though!

I have a suggestion for you! Serra's Guardian is basically a worse Angelic Field Marshal . But im not sure how often your commander is played/gets removed or targeted! but pretty much a lower cost, and same stats!
