Most of my decks end up being a little too powerful and/or complex for my playgroup, so I decided to build a deck almost entirely around big, fun vanilla creatures for something more casual. Cards like Craw Wurm, Savannah Lions and Panther Warriors were beloved cards when I first started playing the game. I mean, what's going to stop a 6/4?

This deck brings out vanilla beaters fast with a boatload of ramp, plus anthems, interaction and a few extra tricks to make these creatures an unstoppable force to be reckoned with.

It all starts with Jasmine Boreal of the Seven and Ruxa, Patient Professor, who both give my ability-less creatures evasion when they attack. From there, we just need to pump them up with a steady stream of anthems and counters from cards like Muraganda Petroglyphs or Gavony Township.

To protect this basic strategy, we've got a handful of protection and removal spells that green and white are known for -- your Path to Exiles and your Beast Withins -- keeping our board intact and our opponents' under control. And we've got a decent stream of card draw through sources like Guardian Project, Toski, Bearer of Secrets and Tribute to the World Tree to make sure our hand always has just what we need.

You gotta love it when a $0.03 Enormous Baloth trucks in for a finishing blow, even when the opponent has an untapped $20 Blightsteel Colossus that wants so badly to block, but isn't allowed to.
