Of the new Legendary creatures spoiled from Dominaria, Hallar, the Firefletcher definitely tickled my fancy the most. Until now there hasn't truly been a decent way to build around the kicker mechanic, so I'm excited to give this a try.

Because of how Hallar works, there are a number of kicker spells included, but the deck isn't stuffed with them because for the most part they aren't incredibly good for their value, not to mention dealing any sort of significant damage with Hallar's ability by building up only with kicker spells is... really inefficient honestly. As such the deck also features +1/+1 counters heavily, building up the number of counters on the commander so the kicker spells really get a bang for their buck. The deck also has a number of +1/+1 counter creature synergies, which is also something I've been looking to do in red for a while.

I'm still putting this deck together IRL and haven't gotten to playtest it yet. If anybody has any constructive feedback or suggestions I'd appreciate it.
