Sword of Fire and Ice

Artifact — Equipment

Equipped creature gets +2/+2 and has protection from red and from blue. ((Remember the acronym debt.) Equipped creature can't be damaged, enchanted, equipped, blocked or targeted by anything red or blue. Anything red or blue attached to the equipped creature immediately falls off.)

Whenever equipped creature deals combat damage to a player, Sword of Fire and Ice deals 2 damage to any target (creature, player, planeswalker or battle) and you draw a card.

Equip (: Attach this to target creature you control. Equip only as a sorcery. This enters the battlefield unattached and stays on the battlefield if the creature this card is attached to leaves the battlefield.)

From past experiences, I've found a Kor Firewalker/Burrenton Forge-Tender equipped with a Sword of Fire and Ice/Sword of War and Peace should slow down the burn player bit. Hope this helps.

Yeah, most players would like to jam in as much Swords as they can in Voltron decks. Given space I would have still add Sword of Fire and Ice just for the card draw.

Mana Geyser is performing well during our mid to late game, where players tapped out most of the time. But yeah, thanks for suggesting War's Toll (which I didn't know existed), because not only it fuels the geyser, but also screws up those pesky blue and control mages.

Fury of the Horde is a nice option, but extra combats isn't really part of my deck's strategy as of the moment. With regards to fire breathing, based on my experience, I only ever use it to pump those last few points of damage, since Akroma's power is usually pumped up with all those equipment and also with Double Strike.

I used to run a similar build. I always ran out of cards. Cards like Jeska's Will Firemane Commando Esper Sentinel Dawn of a New Age Trouble in Pairs The One Ring didn’t exist. Even Smuggler's Share Tocasia's Welcome Welcoming Vampire and Rumor Gatherer weren’t around yet, so I had to depend on Mangara, the Diplomat Sword of Fire and Ice Mask of Memory Mentor of the Meek I also ran Enlightened Tutor and Open the Armory to find the helm. I wonder how this deck would fare against a typical commander deck, which has a lot more ramp draw and removal

I also just did away with, Augur of Autumn for Ivy Lane Denizen, as Ivy Lane paired up with, Scurry Oak would give an infinite squirrel combo as well as infinite ramp for Scurry Oak.

Also replaced, Sword of Fire and Ice with Rancor. I just felt like I might be potentially overdoing it with the card draw, I don't want to accidently deck myself which this deck can potentially do if you're not paying attention. The protections are nice, but my only concern is keeping Toski alive and I feel I have enough of that already. This deck is gonna win most of the time off an army of pissed off squirrels anyways. Also felt, Rancor was a good fit for the single mana cost as it can go well with Toski or any other creature that could ramp up easily like, Scurry Oak with the Ivy Lane Denizen combo.

Looks like a fun list but remember, Obosh only lets you use cards with odd mana costs, so there are quite a few you will need to cut. Also your number of lands and mana rocks are very low especially considering the high costs of your commander and companion (for a deck like this I would aim for at least 40 lands and 10 mana rocks). Personally I would make these swaps:

The Red Terror -> Bandit's Haul
Thran Dynamo -> Bonder's Ornament
Imodane, the Pyrohammer -> Commander's Sphere
Bloodletter of Aclazotz -> Conversion Apparatus
Unstable Amulet -> Endurance Bobblehead
Impact Tremors -> Restless Vents
Mana Barbs -> Foriysian Totem
Fate Unraveler -> Sword of Fire and Ice
Firebrand Archer -> Dark Ritualfoil
Ojer Axonil, Deepest Might -> Haunted Ridge
Nightshade Harvester -> Mind's Eye
Urabrask -> Blightstep Pathway  Flip
Hedron Archive -> Graven Cairns
Deathbringer Thoctar -> Rakdos Carnarium
Torbran, Thane of Red Fell -> Kyren Toy
Staff of Nin -> Component Pouch

Blue is easily the color I struggle with the most. Let's do that~

Serf, Technosage

Legendary Creature - Vedalken Artificer Shaman

Whenever you cast a noncreature artifact spell, you may pay . If you do, it becomes a Creature - Construct in addition to its other types and has base power and toughness equal to its mana value.

Why should I conquer an army when I could create one?

2/3

Obligatory "Can my Sword of Fire and Ice equip itself??"

White and black are left for mono-colored, uncommon, commanders.

Oh, I guess we were doing an experience counter theme...? Well, shit. Alright, carry on I suppose...
