This is my Edric beatdown deck. It's extremely fast and very aggressive. The battle plan basically, is to get a bunch of little dudes on the field as quickly as possible, cast Edric, Spymaster of Trest, swing with them and draw massive amounts of cards. I play 8 countermagic spells...Arcane Denial, Negate, Rewind, Dissolve, Counterspell, Dissipate, Swan Song and Faerie Trickery. I use the countermagic for obvious reasons, against boardwipe mainly. Erayo, Soratami Ascendant can be a very good tool when flipped and I can almost always guarantee that mid to late game, I can easily flip her on my turn. I couldn't ignore the classic Aluren/Recycle combo so that had to go in. Skullclamp is a great draw engine...after all, Edric's soldiers are expendable. Concordant Crossroads has won games for me on multiple occasions because of my creature speed. My deck is mostly comprised of 1/1 bodies so Pendelhaven and Pendelhaven Elder come in quite handy. When my hand is overloaded and don't have Reliquary Tower on the field, I usually discard my Vengevine and is reanimated shortly after. Lorescale Coatl can be a huge body when my card draw engines are working. My utility creatures are all 1/1s which is great for Pendelhaven Elder and Pendelhaven like I said before. Elvish Lyrist and Druid Lyrist can kill pesky enchantments. Uktabi Faerie and Scavenger Folk can blow up some artys that are giving me problems. Elvish Skysweeper can be really good against Consecrated Sphinx, which can get wayyyyy out of hand for me. Sylvan Safekeeper has protected Edric a few times. Curse of the Swine is great with dealing with creatures that shut my deck down(there's quite a few)...Relic of Progenitus is great against graveyard shenanigans. Finally Beastmaster Ascension is the nail in the coffin if all turns out kosher. I'm open to suggestions! Please +1 this deck if you like it, thanks for reading...LK
