General Description

This is an aggressive Boros 1v1 Commander Deck with Iroas, God of Victory at the helm. To get most value out of Agrus Kos, Wojek Veteran, Legion's Initiative, Balefire Liege, Belligerent Hatchling, Scourge of the Nobilis, Pillar of the Paruns and Battlegate Mimic most spells are red and white.

Choice of Commander

For an Boros deck there are a lot of Choices for the Commander. I want to explain why I chose Iroas and not an other.

• Aurelia, the Warleader,
• Gisela, Blade of Goldnight

• Razia, Boros Archangel are to expensive and the inpact in the game is to late.

• Depala, Pilot Exemplar,

• Brion Stoutarm,
• Jor Kadeen, the Prevailer,
• Khorvath Brightflame,
• Sylvia Brightspear,
• Tiana, Ship's Caretaker,
• Firesong and Sunspeaker,
• Munda, Ambush Leader,
• Archangel Avacyn  
• Basandra, Battle Seraph obviously don't fit in this deck as commander.

So we have only these left:

• Kalemne, Disciple of Iroas: Not enough creaturespells with CMC 5 or greater.
• Adriana, Captain of the Guard: Her time to shine is in multiplayer rounds. In a 1 vs 1 she only gives *1/+1 to my attacking creatrues. Not enough for the commander but she is in the deck.
• Anax and Cymede: Not enough spells to trigger them.
• Anya, Merciless Angel: A little bit to late on the manacurve and she doesn't help the rest of the team
• Agrus Kos, Wojek Veteran: First Impact on round six. But as every creature is re/white +2/+2 for all attacking creatures of our team is good and so he is in the deck.
• Tajic, Blade of the Legion: Battalion is no problem in this deck but he has no evasion and dos not help the rest of the team.
• Bruse Tarl, Boorish Herder: No evasion.

So why Iroas, God of Victory: He gives kind of evasion and proctection to the whole team. Is a 3 Round clock for the opponent if I reach devotion.
