Went 4-1 against my friend last night so he could play his new deck before he goes to FNM with it. Azorius aggro-control; basically the Azorius Advance deck, but modified with some better cards.

On the chopping block, pending when I actually obtain the replacements...

• 2x Rix Maadi Guildmage for 2x Ash Zealot
• 2x Thrill-Kill Assassin for 2x Hellrider
• 2x Stab Wound pulled from Sideboard for 2x more Slaughter Games
• 1x Deviant Glee pulled from Sideboard for 1x more Grafdigger's Cage. Maybe.

So I made the changes here, but the actual deck is still sans those pending changes. And I'm still looking for room to add Tragic Slip.

Actual changes...

• 2x Stab Wound for 2x Murder.
• 4x Splatter Thug for 4x Hellhole Flailer
• 2x Mizzium Mortars to Sideboard to pull both Dreadbore to main.

I am not interested in Bonfire of the Damned. I feel like any more major investments need to be in cards from RTR forward.

so its more of a focused idea right now. I added lots spells like Mana Leak Hindering Light Recoil Disrupt and Supreme Verdict. The idea is to bust your opponents balls, if he has creatures and you play Supreme Verdict you feed Necromancer's Covenant. Otherwise you fabricate for Dragon Arch and the rest of the artifact creatures that if they come into the battlefield, give a huge advantage.

removed 1 Angelic Benediction 1 Jace's Phantasm 1 Trepanation Blade for 3 Invisible Stalker also removed both of my guild gates for one more Glacial Fortress and 1 Vault of the Archangel

i needed the hexproof creature so my creature base couldn't just get pinged off the battlefield, and the Vault of the Archangel helps keeps me alive

added Staff of Nin, Fists of Ironwood and Master of the Wild Hunt - also added lands (not final distribution) just to see how much space left for other cards i had left. addeed Chancellor of the Forge and Craterhoof Behemoth - added Mogg Infestation -added Darksteel Ingot, Eldrazi Monument, Wort, the Raidmother and Verdant Force

Any suggestions on any more creatures to up my creature base, and any artifact/sorceries that are fantastic/ a must in this style of deck? also what do you think of [rapacious one] too expensive? not worth it? there's something better?

Removed Increasing Devotion and added Blue Sun's Zenith on BadumPsh's recommendation.

Would like thoughts on the usage of Consecrated SphinxGC, Sturmgeist, and Righteous Authority.

Swapped out some weenie humans for face beaters. Loxodon Smiter, Restoration Angel, and Zealous Conscripts were mainboarded. Centaur Healer and Cathedral Sanctifier were added to make full use of Restoration Angel and Cloudshift. {SIDENOTE: I do not own Thragtusk, thank you very much}

Added 4 Dryad Militants, took out 4 Elite Vangaurds. (Good ability, with no cost to the deck)

Added 4 Precinct Captains, took out 4 Kor Hookmasters. (Crucial early game)

3 Soul Snares for 3 Palace Guards, and 2 Soul Tithes for 2 Plains (Much needed removal)

As for the playability, it hasn't lost a 1v1 yet. As expected, it excels early on, and can back it self up with boosting spells at around turn 6-7.

Changes made to reflect the current build. Can usually hard cast the Craterhoof, so added Cavern of Souls to stop counter magic.

went 2-0 , 2-0, 2-1. the one match i lost, my lot trolls got o-ring'd and I lost to exaulted tormented souls. the next two went the way they should. just dropping the veilborn's to the troll, play your swamp for the turn, drop them again, pop the wilds, drop them yet again for lethal.

TL;DR version: went 1-2 and placed 5th out of 11. Game one I was playing against a blue/white control deck, and was destroyed by Oblivion Ring, Essence Scatter, Unsummon, and a Thought Scour. I did not stand a chance and need to splash in some denial for the Orings. Also flying angels like Restoration Angel destroyed me. Game two my deck destroyed a green/white deck. The guy was running a spell deck with only two or so creatures. He could not get around Lotleth Troll's regenerate, or my Predator Ooze. They won me four games against him (two tourney, two for fun after my win cause he wanted to beat my deck). Game three I couldn't get any creatures out long enough to build up, thanks to Orings and Silverblade Paladin. The second match I was mana screwed and should of shuffled my opening hand back in. I never got enough going before a silverblade paladin and a 5/5 angel soulbonded and destroyed me.

Excluded Cards

The card that I considered deeply, but decided to take out was Phylactery Lich. A 5/5 for 3!! It is indestructible!! The only reason it is not included is the counter-thingy. I have no artifacts in the deck. Playtested a couple of times, won turn four most of the time

Adding Trygon Predator

Decided to add Trygon Predator to the sideboard for artifact/enchantment removal. This thing is actually so good, that some people maindeck it - however, gets kinda useless against people that don't use any at all. The flying is nice, but Aquastrand Spider stops the flying on the opposite side, and ground is really all you need anyway.

Added Corpsejack Menace to the mabeboard, just because he doubles 1/1 counters - wish he didn't require black. Might be worth adding later.

Cleaned up Sideboard

Added Thunderbolt to sideboard for the Restoration Angels. Also did a bit of clean up with my sideboard/deck.
