Cumly Cube
Introducing Cumly Cube 1.4.2! 4 months ago, Cumly Cube 1.4.1 was released. This was the first minor update. As promised, minor tweaks would continue, both to fix any remaining imbalances and keep the card pool fresh. The following 36 swaps were made to remove two strategies that never found a home in Cumly Cube -- enchantments matter and Centaurs. Instead of trying to make them work, it was easier to remove them. On the other end of the spectrum, a few problematic cards were removed for being too powerful or annoying to play against. Some new cards bolster tribal synergies, while others search for specific planeswalkers, providing an interesting dynamic to look out for while drafting.
Here are the changes, provided with brief justifications:

- Aether Vial: too powerful
- Ajani's Chosen: enchantment matters cards are no longer part of Cumly Cube

I have replaced Recoil with Obscura Charm, because, while Recoil is an excellent card in its own right, it is rather lackluster in EDH, whereas the charm provides me with greater flexibility.

I have replaced Recoil with Maestros Charm, because, while Recoil is an excellent card in its own right, it is rather lackluster in EDH, whereas the charm provides me with greater flexibility; I could have replaced Grixis Charm with the newer charm, since the charm is easily the weakest of its cycle, but I shall keep it, as it fits the theme of this deck, from a flavor perspective.

I have replaced Recoil and Voidslime with Overcharged Amalgam and Psychic Drain, since I believe that the newer cards better fit the theme of this deck.
DemonDragonJ on How Can I Put Overcharged …
1 year ago
I have an EDH deck with The Mimeoplasm as its general, and I would like to put a copy of Overcharged Amalgam into that deck, as that card would definitely work with that deck's theme, but I am not certain of what card I should remove, to make room, for it.
I could replace Voidslime, since the amalgam has the same effect as that card, but that would increase this deck's mana curve, and I also am considering replacing Recoil, since that card is only acceptable, at best, but that would also raise this deck's mana curve, but none of the cards that cost 4 mana in this deck are cards that I wish to remove, so I may not be able to put the amalgam into this deck, after all.
What does everyone else say, about this? How can I put overcharged amalgam into my Mimeoplasm deck? I certainly would appreciate any suggestions that anyone here can offer.

wallisface Green is super-anti-flying, but cards with flying and a green ability keep being printed. Why is red first strike + green deathtouch a bend? As far as deathstrike goes, first strike is tertiary in black and a non-ability in green, and this only appears on Glissa, the Traitor and Glissa Sunslayer.

Daveslab2022 Would you consider cards like Recoil, Lightning Helix, the guild charms like Selesnya Charm, or Putrefy bad design, boring, or unintuitive? I understand that + =/= . I'm wondering why that's the case.
I completely understand that there's an active effort to prevent color pairs from feeling too samey, and in interest of completion, I feel obligated to say that Voracious Cobra exists. But I still have some questions.
Is there an absolute prohibition on red-green deathstrike? If so, what distinguishes red-green deathstrike from black-green flying/vigilance?
Is there simply too much overlap between 's dedicated removal and deathstrike?
With Ambush Viper, Ice-Fang Coatl, Winged Coatl, and Fleetfeather Cockatrice, is instant-speed creature spot removal more acceptable in than in ?
What makes Golgari Death Swarm a better creative choice than Warrant / Warden, and why did that get printed if it's an inferior choice?
Is there any potential for a card like Warp World or The Great Aurora to be made in ? Why or why not?

I have replaced Countersquall, Recoil, and Grim Affliction with Reject Imperfection, Serum Snare, and Staff of Compleation, which sadly reduced the prevalence of black in this deck, but I feel that those replacements are far superior compared to what I had, before.
