When you cast Emrakul, you gain control of target opponent during that player's next turn. After that turn, that player takes an extra turn.

Flying, trample, protection from instants. ((Remember the acronym debt.) This can't be damaged, enchanted, equipped, blocked or targeted by instants.)

Anyone who has seen me comment on their deck will know I love using people's cards against them. Whether it's Worst Fears (the mythic I got in my first pack coming back into MTG), Mindslaver (flashbacks to academy ruins lock) or Emrakul, the Promised End, their hand is my hand. And with that hand I say why are you hitting yourself? LOL

As such, my 3 favorite cards are Deflecting Swat, Misdirection and Imp's Mischief. The first 2 can be cast for free which is great as you can bluff interaction. The latter is usually unexpected, until your playgroup asks why are you holding 2 mana after casting a large Torment of Hailfire and then they learn that with 2 mana open, you too can be the blue player!

Blinkmoth Urn = Ramp, add Blinkmoth Well to make this asymmetrical + politics (which also is synergy with winter orb)

Karn, Legacy Reforged - Ramp

Have you thought of swapping out Void Winnower for Emrakul, the Promised End? Given you're in colorless, it can be hard to interact with the board at times. Emmy is a powerhouse which can potential be cheaper to cast that Void, not to mention it's potentially high ceiling. To sweeten the pot, Gerrard's Hourglass Pendant is synergy with it and helpful on it's own given your potential for over-extending (assuming no flash enabler).

Phyrexia's Core > Treasure vault(?) - Core acts as a sac outlet to prevent artifact theft, exile and most importantly, remove The One Ring. Ironworks is the only other card that can remove it. Having another card (a land which can be tutored for) is an additional form of redundancy that you might find more useful than treasure vault if you meta is on the more competitive side.

Potential cuts....

  1. Blast Zone - Too slow, especially for potential higher powered or cEDH games.
  2. God-Pharaoh's Statue - Unless you ramp into it, it's not that impactful. Given you already have a lot of redundancy, this is your weakest card in the deck IMO. You could potentially swap it out for another control card such as Ward of Bones but you're better off lowering the avg cmc of the deck.

Balaam__: I think I figured it out. Replacing Etali, Primal Conqueror  Flip with Emrakul, the Promised End works because Emrakul, the Promised End is essentially immune to counterspells due to his protection from instants. I also exchanged Consider for An Offer You Can't Refuse. It seem to be working well.

Good list! I got some ideas for my own, so thanks!

In terms of enablers, Keen Duelist and Descent into Avernus are quite strong. Walking Ballista (and to a lesser extent Hangarback Walker) also makes a great enabler in the early game or a giant threat in the mid/late game. Cryptolith Fragment  Flip is great as a ramp spell that fixes and also enables casting Rakdos. I am also playing Insolent Neonate, which has worked out surprisingly well, though there may be better options out there. I see you're not running Heartless Hidetsugu, which I think is a must-have for this deck. It makes dumping out your hand and killing every opponent trivially easy.

When it comes to payoffs, I really like playing as many colourless cards as possible to really take advantage of Rakdos. I see you're missing Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger and Emrakul, the Promised End in your top-end. In terms of other colourless cards, I like Duplicant as a potentially free removal spell, Wurmcoil Engine for the value, Myr Battlesphere for early damage output and Steel Hellkite as a flying threat that can wipe out huge chunks of the board.

When it comes to coloured payoffs, I stopped playing cards that cost more than or in their costs, as they wouldn't play well with the Rakdos discount. I do like Sheoldred, Whispering One, Knollspine Dragon and Balefire Dragon.

With Whip of Erebos and Exquisite Blood in the deck, is seems like Sanguine Bond would be a great include as a combo finisher.

In terms of cuts, Lightning Bolt seems like an easy one to let go. I stopped playing haste-givers because I found myself playing creatures post-combat most of the time anyways, so something like Rising of the Day could be an easy cut. Read the Bones seems like a really weak card that could be replaced with better card draw or recursion (Necropotence?). I see the combo with Tectonic Hazard and Death-rattle Oni, but that seems pretty niche otherwise and could be replaced with more reliable/repeatable enablers instead. Spawn of Mayhem seems pretty awkward in this deck, as you'll rarely be able to cast it before turn 4 even with Spectacle (and we know what turn 4 is for! :) ). The triple-black on Bloodletter of Aclazotz and Dread Cacodemon are pretty restricting, in my opinion. Indulgent Tormenter seems very unreliable and probably not worth the cost.

Jet Medallion and Ruby Medallion are not at their best here, as they reduce colourless costs instead of adding mana, which means that with Rakdos out they may not even do anything.

Scorched Ruins + Rings + Deserted Temple = . Temple has the added benefit of politics or ramp with urza land.

Emrakul, the Promised End + Gerrard's Hourglass Pendant = Strong synergy, each piece is good on it's like (like many of the combos I've listed)

Karn, the Great Creator + lattice = Hard lock

To synergize with darksteel monolith, you could add some flash (which also has the added benefit of limiting your overextension into a boardwipe) such as Vedalken Orrery/Liberator, Urza's Battlethopter/Skittering Cicada

Blinkmoth Well + Blinkmoth Urn = One sided ramp. Well can deal with opposing artifacts and urn always makes you ahead. Should you feel inclined, Winter Orb might be worth it (if you don't like friends) as you can break parity with it. Even if you can't, you use primarily artifact ramp anyways. It can help slow down the faster pace decks.

How has Pharaoh's statue been for you? Seems a bit expensive for what it does. Have you considered possibly swapping it for another card? Perhaps an Emrakul, the Promised End as an alt wincon + it has synergy with hourglass pendant?

Maybe even a Rings of Brighthearth? Rings can ramp you with fetchlands, draw extra cards with top and lots of other synergy with the deck. Moreover, if you were to potentially swap manifold with Voltaic Key you could have an infinite combo. Everflowing Chalice (4 counters) + rings + voltaic key =

Karn, the Great Creator - One sided Nullrod, helps you deal with opposing artifacts, recursion for important combo pieces and lock with Myconsith lattice.
