Overview

This started out as a project to make a mono-color EDH deck that uses an uncommon mechanic and is turning out to basically be a mono-blue beaters deck, with Sun Quan being at the ready to provide unblockable and enough card draw and counterspells to ensure he or other group evasion gets out and stays out.

Themes

Primary Themes

• Combat - Group combat triggers - to take advantage of all of the flying, horse riding, evasive creatures.
• Beater - Big dudes, Infect, Good personal combat triggers (aside from draw a card), Creature Cloning and Stealing, Creature Token Generators.
• Draw - extra card draw.

Secondary Themes

• Counter - To help control the game as well as ensure Sun Quan sticks around long enough for combat.
• Ramp
• Removal - Including creature stealing.

Tertiary Themes

• Evasion - Group Evasion backups for when Sun Quan inevitably gets removed/countered.
• Equipment - Reusable buffs, combat triggers, evasion, and protection for the high priority creatures.
• Draw+ - Extra synergy for the card draw.
• Misc - Good stuff that doesn't quite fit into any other category.
