So I was given the suggestion to split up my Illiad and Odyssey themes int two separate decks, and I feel like that was an excellent idea from a flavor standpoint.

Here are my creatures and how they fit in with my theme:

Michiko Konda - Penelope, as she denies the advances of suitors (or in this case enemies).

Ephara, God of the Polis - Athena (although I might take her out because of my lack of creatures)

Heliod, God of the Sun - Zeus

Thassa, God of the Sea - Poseidon

Hypnotic Siren , Vortex Elemental , Kederekt Leviathan, Scourge of Fleets - Various threats Odysseus faces on his journey that he must overcome using his cunning

Omenspeaker , Oracle en-Vec - Oracles and fate certainly play a role in The Odyssey, represented here through scry and creature control

Revered Dead - The fallen soldiers Odysseus meets in the Underworld

Thousand Winds - Representative of the aid put forth by Aeolus, god of winds

Perplexing Chimera - Representative of Odysseus' tricksy nature

Dulcet Sirens - Show more of the creatures that Odysseus comes across, but also allows me to be political and tricksy like Odysseus

Here are some of the spells/enchantments I included and how they fit into my theme:

My counterspells and bounce spells represent how Odysseus can get out of any situation, as these spells tend not to discriminate. However, Ojutai's Command, Cryptic Command, and Mystic Confluence are special in my eyes. The former two represent how tricksy Odysseus can be, pulling multiple schemes at once. My draw spells, on the other hand, represent Odysseus' "always has a trick up his sleeve" nature and his ability to have multiple plans on standby at once.

Council's Judgment - Council of the gods passing judgment

Azor's Elocutors - The suitors of Penelope, waiting out Penelope so they may wed her.

Send to Sleep, Apathy , and Pacifism - Representative of the effects of Lotus on Odysseus' men

Fated Retribution, Wrath of God - Effects of killing Helios' cattle

Whelming Wave, Cyclonic Rift - Wrath of Poseidon

Curse of the Swine - Circe turns many of Odysseus' men into pigs

Ponder, Brainstorm, etc. - Odysseus' cunning and planning ahead

Switcheroo , Puca's Mischief , Conjured Currency , etc. - More of Odysseus' trickery at work

Defang - Odysseus maims and kills the suitors of Penelope when he returns home, and the vampire on the art is also getting maimed. I thought it fit.

Charisma , Mind Control, Control Magic, Persuasion - Odysseus is a very crafty speaker, allowing himself to bend the wills of others, even convincing others to join his cause.

Ephara's Enlightenment , Starfield of Nyx, Steel of the Godhead - Aid of the Gods

My artifacts and why I included them:

Sensei's Divining Top - Odysseus planning ahead

Tapestry of the Ages - While being pursued by suitors, Penelope claims that she will remarry when she is done weaving a tapestry, but delibrately undoes some of her work to delay the suitors

Lotus Petal - Represents the Lotus-Eaters

Sol Ring - Commander staple ;)
