Aim

I've been wanting to play around with the monarch mechanic and a deck that focuses heavily on removal to enable 'politicking' which fits with that theme and Queen Marchesa seems the ideal commander for this.

The deck aims to establish a board presence where opponents are discouraged from attacking me via blockers with deathtouch or the fear of instant removal as a response.

Once the deck's defences are established the monarch mechanic enables card advantage allowing it to play cards which punish opponents for me retaining the monarch i.e. the 'Court of...' collection.

A main theme is to attach a "tap: deal X damage" enchantment such as Arcane Teachings onto a creature with deathtouch. This enables repeatable removal of creatures in response to being attacked or when large creature-based threats are played prior to an opponent being able to protect them.

Artifacts or enchantments either aim to protect smaller creatures with deathtouch by making them indestructible or provide deathtouch to creatures without it. For example, adding deathtouch to something such as Deathbringer Thoctar enables me to clear the entire board of opponents creatures.

Quietus Spike, Virtus the Veiled, Unstoppable Slasher, and Grievous Wound provide significant life loss for an opponent to accelerate a win.
