A Luigi-themed deck starring Tasigur, the Golden Fang as "Death-Stare Luigi."
The deck idea started as a regular Luigi-themed deck in Simic colors, but quickly morphed into a Sultai deck when I thought of calling it "Death Stare Luigi," and merged almost perfectly with a mono-black deck I wanted to build, based around Evil Eye of Orms-by-Gore and Evil Eye of Urborg . Throw some Deathtouch on those eyes, and you get "Death Stare."

As per the namesake of the deck, the "dream" is to get both Eyes in play, stacked with +1/+1 counters and maybe some additional Deathtouch. Trample, Hexproof, and/or Shroud would all be nice and available in these colors, but I'm still toying with those ideas as I'm not sure how they fit with the overall theme of the deck.

Speaking of theme, I originally thought of including Gorgons or even possibly going Gorgon tribal for that "Death Stare" flavor, but I decided Archetype of Finality and Vraska the Unseen are enough remnants of that flavor - the Archetype gives my eyes Deathtouch, and Vraska's assassin tokens are like her version of Deathtouch, I guess?
Beyond game mechanic flavor, I've also decided to go for cards with art that loosely follow a "Death Stare" theme, with personal favorites including Diabolic Vision , FNM Promo Serum Visions , and the Take half of Give / Take

The +1/+1 counters are a remnant of the old Simic deck idea, which featured Vorel of the Hull Clade at the helm, but I liked the idea of buffing the Eyes, and with the deck essentially half built already, I decided to stick with it. I explain it thematically as the coins you collect in Mario Kart, which give you an ever-so-slight speed boost. Dream Cache features as coins as well, firstly because of the art then closely followed by flavor of drawing cards being akin to picking up weapons/items in Mario Kart.

As the deck is named "Death Stare Luigi," it wouldn't be right not to include some Mario Kart flavor in here as well.
The 3 highly specialized counterspells in the deck - Essence Scatter, Negate, and Redirect - represent red shells homing in on specific targets, while Broken Visage is like the Shadow created with your best lap, which you can race against or challenge your friends to beat.
Chained Throatseeker might seem out of place with everything else in the deck, but with that face and the chains on its collar, all I can think is "Chompchain!" so...it's in. Very similar reasoning is used for Meandering Towershell , Silburlind Snapper , and Wandering Tombshell . I have an old Giant Turtle that I considered putting in or replacing one of the other turtles with...but it's just a bit too shit, considering all the other flavor pieces I have in here. At least with Meandering Towershell as the green turtle, it's a bigger fatter blocker. Because really, this deck is meant to kill with the eyes, so every other creature is just there as support.

Luigi's Mansion (a game I have never played) is represented by Spirits & horrors like Stormbound Geist , Undergrowth Scavenger , and Uninvited Geist   , with Altered Ego thrown in because the art just feels so right for this part of the "Luigi" flavor.
Speaking of Luigi, Jace, Unraveler of Secrets is Ghost Hunter Luigi, because why not?

Currently, Prime Speaker Zegana and Nissa, Voice of Zendikar are co-contenders for the role of Princess Daisy.

One major consideration I have is to include more tutors, in order to help me get the eyes out somewhat consistently. Another would be to include some reanimation mechanics, so that I can retrieve my eyes from the graveyard, too.
Otherwise, it feels like the deck will play largely like a Simic 'Evolve' deck that splashes black for some added silliness. Which may not be a bad thing.

This is a very rough early draft, so comments, suggestions, etc. are more than welcome!

Got to playtest this deck for the second time last night, and got this incredibly lucky combination of cards out early, in this order: Master Biomancer + Corpsejack Menace + Forced Adaptation on the Biomancer + Ordeal of Erebos on the Menace + Meandering Towershell + Dreg Mangler for what ended up as a 21/25 turtle, 10/10 Menace, 19/19 Mangler, and 8/10 Biomancer swinging for lethal on about turn 8 or so.

I think I like what Luigi can do...
