Lifespinner

Creature — Spirit

Tap, Sacrifice three Spirits: Search your library for a legendary Spirit permanent card and put it into play. Then shuffle your library.

I got a whole collection of weird combos and synergies that I stumbled on and never did anything with. Some have better ways to do the same thing, some have more moving parts than I would like, and some I just haven't taken the time to put into action.

Oddball Combos

My favorite is probably Lifespinner + Arcane Adaptation, which basically lets you get any legendary creature from your deck at instant speed, as long as you have creatures to spare.

seshiro_of_the_orochi, oh wow, I forgot about that card, huh, yeah I mean... Hedron's Archive is almost playable, so I think my card actual would be, but yeah, less original than I thought.

As mentioned on Curtain of Light, Guardian of Solitude, Kami of False Hope, Kami of Old Stone, Lifespinner, Moonwing Moth, and Orb of Dreams:

Snow-Fur, Kitsune Poet

Legendary Creature - Fox Bard

Snow-Fur, Kitsune Poet costs less to cast for each card exiled from your graveyard this turn.

Vigilance, Protection from creatures without summoning sickness

, , Shuffle a card you own in exile into your library: Return target creature or enchantment from your graveyard to the battlefield. Activate this ability only as a sorcery.

I think this would be a really fun card in commander, and not really sure how it'd work, I mean Elspeth, Sun's Nemesis would be excellent in this deck, as would suspend cards and Nearheath Chaplain and Heron-Blessed Geist, as well as the disturb creatures, but like... idk...

Also, yes, she can only be blocked by creatures which entered in the last turn cycle without haste. That's the only difference between her protection and Teysa, Envoy of Ghosts

Any thoughts on Lifespinner as a tutor for you legendary creatures?

Shnuff on Myojin deck

I just had a similar idea for a deck when I saw Call to the Kindred ('Kindred Spirit' pun alone made it worth brewing) and Lifespinner ! Then I thought how the Myojin are cool (also highest when searching Gatherer by CMC) but lack of Divinity Counters was sad... then I too found That Which Was Taken ! Play a little spirit- get a big spirit! Of course, this idea is by no means 'standard' anymore but funny that someone 5 years ago came to the same conclusion as me. Oh, to be a Magic player when Kamigawa was standard legal. sigh

ClockworkSwordfish on ritual summoning

I'm not saying you should add green or anything drastic like that, but it's funny to me that both Spirit of the Night and The Unspeakable are spirits. That means in addition to their built-in "ritual summons," you can also grab either one with Lifespinner . Funny how that works out.

PartyJ thanks for the answer!

I don't want to go super-competitive, but there are my wishes:- competitive enough to play against basic commander 2017 and maybe a tier higher- fun to play and play against

Currently i have a great combo with Lifespinner goes on Myojin of Life's Web, then Iname, Life Aspect to place both hand and grave back onto the field (maybe multiple time thanks to That Which Was Taken).

It's nice to have 100+ life while everyone struggling in 40-ties.

I'd like to retain the thematism but improve the effectiveness. Budget is not really an issue.

Panas on Help with Iname Deck

Oh wow..! that's a whooping 12 mana for the first cast to do nothing (since it is cast from the command zone, not the hand). Also the second ability is not very relevant. You are looking at a G/B spirit tribal, dredge, reanimator; this doesn't allow for a lot of room to work in. I would have opted for a different general in those colours, with my first pick being Meren of Clan Nel Toth followed by Karador, Ghost Chieftain considering that reanimation is what you want to be doing.

If you do insist of going through with Iname as One, then there are a few good spirits: Lifespinner is a good example, so is Kokusho, the Evening Star. Loam Dweller will be decent in such a build. Seedborn Muse fits here just as good as any other green deck...

You've certainly chosen a tough one! >.<

I would pick Karador, to be honest, if you are set on spirit tribal as white has some of the more powerful spirits and spirit related cards. See Celestial Kirin, Eternal Dragon, Hokori, Dust Drinker, Kami of False Hope, Karmic Guide and Selfless Spirit for example.
