The specific interaction I am unsure about is between Narset, Enlightened Exile and Tzaangor Shaman. If I attack with Narset, Enlightened Exile and exile Dragon Fodder am I able to wait untill Tzaangor Shaman deals damage before casting the spell or will that be too late?

You See a Pair of Goblins, and/or Krenko's Command/Dragon Fodder could do some work in here, giving your creatures +2 power is pretty big if you've got a wide board, and making more than 1 creature from 1 card is really helpful in Goblins, especially since a lot of your cards actively care about the number of goblins you have and don't care how big they are.

I know he's not cheap, but I feel like if you want a big 4 or 5 mana goblin in here Krenko, Mob Boss would fit like a glove. There is also Krenko, Tin Street Kingpin, he's only 3 mana and is relatively cheap, I think he'd make a very good x1.

tjr3823 - I like the idea of this deck but wanted to ask how has it been performing?

In terms of some suggestions, Parallel Lives might be a great fit for this deck. I would also recommend if you are running Scute Mob and Scute Swarm to maybe drop Brass's Bounty in exchange for more ramp. These card due best when then you are hitting an extra land or two early on to accelerate their growth. Having said that, I do not think Scute Mob is a good fit for this deck as it does nto really hit the 1/1 theme. Welcoming Vampire or Mentor of the Meek might make a good addition to get some much needed draws to keep this deck moving. I would also think you would like something like Secure the Wastes due to its upside at token creation over Dragon Fodder.

ANyways, I hope that provides you some food for thought. Good luck and happy brewing!

@ GrimlockVIII thank you for the Upvote and suggestions for my deck!

The deck tries to make a win attempt around turns 5 to 7 and Avenger of Zendikar is a bit slow for that without dedicated landfall. Don't get me wrong I like Avenger of Zendikar and it is an all star in my Kruphix Lands Matter *Primer* list.

Further more Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker + Zealous Conscripts is the easiest way this deck has to win. Gruul is good at tutoring for creatures but not instants and sorceries. The other combo lines rely on using at least one instant or sorcery and thus must be found using card draw. Consequently I have found it is almost always wrong to cast Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker or Zealous Conscripts for value. If one of them is in hand the goal is card draw to find a tutor to fetch the other.

Curious Herd looks like it would be a lot of fun in a more chill wort list. My strategy during the early game is ramp and token creation (to use to conspire spells latter). Once I cast Wort the strategy becomes card draw by conspiring draw spells. This means I try and keep most of the token creation at 2 CMC. The exceptions are of course:

Hordeling Outburst (3 CMC) It creates red tokens. This can matter as most of the ritual effects and card draw are red and need red creatures to conspire. If we get another Dragon Fodder / Krenko's Command functional reprint Hordeling Outburst will be replaced.

Goblin War Party (4 CMC) It also creates red tokens and can be used as a haste enabler for the Reiterate infinite combo.

Im gonna go ahead and list off some goblins that I think will be great additions to your deck, while also trying to keep them mostly cheap to acquire. Goblin Matron, Goblin Warchief, Goblin Trashmaster, Siege-Gang Commander, Krenko, Tin Street Kingpin, Goblin Ringleader, Goblin Recruiter, Goblin Instigator, Muxus, Goblin Grandee, Warren Instigator

Token Generation: Dragon Fodder, cheap, creates more goblins. Nuff said. Removal: Chaos Warp. Mono red staple.
Burn: Massive Raid, great way to cut an opponents hp pool down to size or act as a finisher. Also can serve as targeted removal in a pinch. Impact Tremors, I cannot recommend this card enough for your deck! It fits in soo well. Carddraw: Hazoret's Monument also doubles as discount! Endless Atlas card draw for practically no downside. Haster: Fervor, much harder to remove than your goblins that add haste. A solid card for any red aggro deck.

Biggest question - how competitive do you want to be? Cause there are great sacrifice cards and effects for competitive play that just shouldn't mix with things on a more fun casual level.

On the competitive end, I'd look at CMC 1 and two, with a focus on card advantage and disruption; Bomat Courier for refilling the hand, Cabal Therapist as ersatz thoughtsieze, Carrion Feeder and Ravenous Squirrel as a chunky creature and repeatable sac outlet, cards like Dockside Chef as extra squirrel copies, there are a lot of really good options.

The hard part is what you are trying to sacrifice - cards that like being in the graveyard and come back tend to get pricy, meaning that you'll probably get more from token value - Mogg War Marshal is about the best budget option, but even there its only 3 triggers for two mana. An artifacts matter list is an option - bomat courier, Glaze Fiend, the dog from the new set and so on would let you run Oni-Cult Anvil or Pia's Revolution for a lot of value, while also taking advantage of treasure, blood food and other 'artifact tokens' as they are printed.

Young Pyromancer is a classic for a reason, but it does need instants and sorceries - more value from Dragon Fodder, but less from return from graveyard effects.

All told, a lot of it is about the kind of deck you want to build. All in elemental awakener is great, trying to loop changelings with awakener and stuff like Prowess of the Fair is hilarious if you want to go that route too.

This deck is simply amazing. Great list, and Anax as the commander really surprised me. Very well done!

The few cards I'm not absolutely sold on are Dragon Fodder and its more expensive versions, but I have no fitting idea on what to replace them with.

Some cards you could still consider are those:

Warstorm Surge is a second copy of Terror of the Peaks. Caldera Hellion is a wipe that lets you sacrifice your board and leaves you with a ginormous beatstick. Ryusei, the Falling Star is a fine attacker that also can wipe if you need it. I realize Thermopod is perfect for the list, but Treasonous Ogre would be another great ramp card. I think you'd really want Anger in here, and Introduction to Annihilation is a great way for red decks to deal with Planeswalker. Finally, how about Shifting Shadow for the lols?

i think to play it youd need to focus on how its different from mentor+pyro,

and focus on turning tokens into 3/3s.

so things like Hordeling Outburst and Dragon Fodder.

i dont have much knowledge of token generators,

id be a boomer and go the direction of Spectral Procession, outburst, and Intangible Virtue,

(Glare of Subdual would make the crappy fall-apart zombies kinda cool)

maybe do weird graveyard stuff with Haunted Dead, Hornet Queen and Persist?

i dunno, like i said im sure someone else will be more helpful in that area,

but i think focusing on mixing the prowess and token-generation aspect is what will work the best with him,

and the deck isnt gonna look like what youd expect and probably want,

but shoving a copy or two into a more traditional mentor shell probably would be fine too
