Goro-Goro and Satoru: Enter the Dragon

Commander / EDH Ninja Ninjutsu UBR (Grixis)

meterstickjim

**"Creatures you control that entered the battlefield this turn" is Kamigawan for "Ninjas". ** Ninjutsu is an ability that works best if you can use it immediately. By adding red to this mix, Goro-Goro and Satoru have given ninjas all the speed they need to come roaring at you so fast they leave a dragon-spirit-shaped burning trail behind them.

Here are each of the breakdown pieces explained:

Grasshoppers

These are the small, evasive, haste-y creatures that can help you power out ninjutsu triggers early and often. With plenty of payoff for going wide, as well as the ability to recover after a board wipe thanks to these guys going back to your hand when you trade them out for ninjas, these will be your bread and butter. You'll be playing these a lot.

Senseis

These creatures and cards support you going wide. They generate hasted tokens, let you put more bodies on the board, give you benefits when you attack with a bunch of creatures, take additional combat steps, and so on.

Masters

Cards with directly synergistic text in their text boxes.

Ninjas

All your lovely ninjas, complete with the powers that make them a formidable force.

Combos:

Combo 1: Limit Break If you get Delina, Wild Mage and Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker into play at the same time, you can declare Delina attacking, make at least one extra Kiki-Jiki, then go off the chain making more Kiki-Jikis. Survive to your next turn, then swing with infinite Kiki-Jikis.

Combo 2: Unleash the Dragon If you can get Breath of Fury and one of the other cards listed in the combo on the field, you can go off and take infinite combat steps and kill everyone.

Removal, Control, Dragon Synergy, and Evasion.

These categories contain your kill spells, counter spells, and several other pieces of tech that can come in handy to help get your dudes through without being blocked so you can turn on more Ninja fun.

Advantage and Ramp

These spells help you dig through your deck.
