Harmonic Wizard Violence is my first attempt at a spellslinger deck. The deck plays mostly Wizard creatures and cheap spells that combine into a mixed strategy of aggro, burn and combos. This is the first public draft of the deck, and I am sure it'll see plenty of tweaks to make it more effective and consistent.

Mainboard

The deck's most important card and its namesake is Harmonic Prodigy. Her bottom effect that double-triggers triggered abilities of Shaman and Wizard creatures is absolutely key. Combined with Guttersnipe, Guttersnipe + Harmonic Prodigy deals at least 4 damage to all opponents per spell you cast. The combo takes a little setup, but the damage potential (in playtesting) is enough to turn a losing game into a win. The potential damage only grows with more copies played. Harmonic Prodigy combos well with Adeliz, the Cinder Wind, Spellweaver Eternal, Burning Prophet and Electrostatic Infantry by pumping their prowess, and other effects. The Adeliz, the Cinder Wind + Harmonic Prodigy combo is especially strong. As for spells, I run Opt for its utility and Lightning Bolt and Firebolt for their damage. Since Harmonic Prodigy is so important for the deck, she needs protection and I've added Mizzium Skin for that purpose. Counterspells would also work, but hexproof offers broader protection. Teleportal and Fist of Flame are cards which let your creatures get through your opponent's defences. The deck is good at manipulation your library to draw the cards you need through, Burning Prophet, Fist of Flame and Opt.

Lastly, I'm a big fan of the scry lands and play Temple of Epiphany in this deck. Highland Lake, on the other hand, is a placeholder land. Swap it based on your preferred dual-lands.

Sideboard

The sideboard adds some extra options for you. Swerve adds more protection against decks with lots of removal spells, similarly, Geistwave lets you remove your opponent's permanents and protect your own. Smelt add artifact removal. Lastly, Weapon Surge is another boost card.

Upgrades and Card Swaps

I've only playtested this deck a few times as of yet. However, a few cards still come to mind as suitable for this deck.

• Elite Arcanist + Guttersnipe would be a strong combo since you cast the copies created by Elite Arcanist thus triggering Guttersnipe. But I believe the combo takes too much setup to be reliable.

• Dreadhorde Arcanist would let you recast your spells. If he's boosted, you could pick any card in the graveyard.

• Aegar, the Freezing Flame, Jori En, Ruin Diver, Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind (and other Niv-Mizzet cards) would fit the deck well.

• Umara Mystic and Wee Dragonauts have strong prowess-like effects but at higher CMC.

• The flashback mechanic would potentially work well for the deck when you're in a pinch and need spells.

This deck is born from many failed ideas, but I've finally found something which is fun to play and plays pretty well too. As I said before, this is the first public draft of the deck. Any ideas and suggestions are very welcome.
