Wow I am so in love with what you are trying to do, I had to comment!

Creakwood Liege is my personal pet card so I can't tell you how good it feels to see it.

Some thoughts:

  • I don't know your metta but if you ever consider taking out Force of Despair, I could see Witherbloom Command doing a lot of work for this deck as a very flexible spell that is cheaper and still triggers Woodlurker Mimic.
  • Putrid Leech, Throwback is right, I love seeing that again. That being said have you considered experimenting with Grim Flayer in its place at all? Does a lot of the same work as Putrid Leech by quickly becoming a 4/4 and its Surveil 3 ability can do a lot of work to set you up for the win.
  • I agree with the prior comment that Glissa Sunslayer is going to be better for you than Dreg Mangler. That being said I respect your commitment to your fast aggro approach, and as someone who used to run Dreg Mangler, I get it. It's better than most people give it credit for. I did find Sarulf, Realm Eater to be a strong replacement. Having a good removal package, like you do, you can count on it getting more counters and you can reset the board if you start to fall behind.
  • Final note. if you do decide to add more legends I would squeeze in a Shizo, Death's Storehouse for the free damage.

Overall I really love what you are doing and I look forward to seeing how the deck evolves!

OOOOOO thank you so much for the feedback! I cannot wait to test out some of these suggestions.

I honestly count Ignoble Hierarch as .5 of a land. So technically, this deck is a 23 land deck based off of how I brew. I used to run more lands, but found myself getting flooded. On top of that, we don't necessarily need to hit a land drop every turn to win. I definitely agree on the modifications of the mana base. I actually just purchased a Castle Locthwain to test. I also plan to test out a few Darkbore Pathway  Flip as well.

My meta is full of creature based strategies like the ones you mentioned, so the difference in opinion on Force of Despair is understandable. It just never seems to let me down in the games I have played.

Cankerous Thirst is a card that I am still actively testing. Testing has been going well, as it pumps our midrange threats and gets rid of pesky blockers. I definitely understand where you are coming from when you recommend replacing it with cheaper removal.

The reason I argue for Dreg Mangler over more Glissa Sunslayer is because of haste. Glissa is great for utility and walling off creatures, but this deck thrives on dealing chunks of damage quickly, which I feel like Dreg is better for; especially when paired with Mimic. Also, Glissa is legendary, which discourages me from running too many copies.

I never thought of Grist until you mentioned it. That might very well be an add in I have to test next. I don't see much of a drawback in running a few copies.

Thanks again for the feedback! :)

Interesting brew! Some thoughts:

  • Modern decks typically can't justify running more than 3-4 cards costing 4 mana, and often run nothing above this. You've currently got 7 4-mana cards, which is a little above this, and might make your deck run a little slower/clumsier than ideal. Personally I'd ditch the Cankerous Thirst, but I'll elaborate further on that in a later bullet-point. I'd say in most cases for a midrange deck, you want the "Avg. CMC" of the deck to be below 2 (tappedout currently has you at 2.36)

  • You may need a 22nd land, or possibly even a 23rd. Your deck looks super-reliant on getting mana early to avoid getting overwhelmed, and in the likely scenario where your opponent bolts an early-turn Ignoble Hierarch, you could be in a lot of trouble.

  • I'm really surprised you've found Force of Despair to be so useful, particularly as the card is generally only strong against decks trying to sudo-combo-off, like 8-whack. Because it is generally always costing you two cards, it can be hard to get card-parity from unless you're facing aggro builds. If its doing great in your meta, then I guess keep running it - I just haven't found it particularly useful, and would suggest limiting it to 2 copies at-most.

  • Cankerous Thirst feels like a really bad card to me, in that its a really weak effect for a ridiculous quantity of mana. In most situations, Primal Might will outperform this in every aspect apart from costing only 1 colour of mana. I would suggest replacing this card with more copies of Abrupt Decay and Assassin's Trophy, as both of those cards are amazing for a build like this - and your deck looks like it really wants to be able to survive the early turns of the game (if you can stabilize past turn 4, you're probably in a good position, so keeping the opponents board clear during the early turns seems far more useful than some 4-mana combat trick).

  • I'd swap out the Woodland Cemetery for another Forest & Swamp. It will help protect you from Blood Moon, as well as ensure that your lands aren't ever entering tapped. But as mentioned before i'd also suggest going up to 22-23 lands. For any additional lands you do put into the deck, i'd suggest Castle Locthwain, as it can help ensure you win any grindy late-games.

  • Glissa Sunslayer seems a LOT stronger than Dreg Mangler. I'd maybe drop down to 2 copies of Mangler so that you can run 3 of the Sunslayer.

  • I think Grist, the Hunger Tide would do amazing things in this list, both for helping to stall out the game, while also providing an army for Creakwood Liege. I think 3-copies could be a really strong inclusion, though I'm not sure what you'd remove for it (possibly some of the cards I suggested ditching earlier).

I'm not sure what your budget is or what exact suggestions you're looking for but here's my feedback. I'm going to write these suggestions assuming you already have an idea of what the "optimal" Jund list looks like. There won't be any of those cards on this list because I assume you already know about them but are unable/unwilling to afford them. Overall I like your budget take on Jund but there's a lot of room to upgrade this, even on a budget.

Cards to look into:

Criticism:

  • Olivia Voldaren and Reaper of the Wilds aren't all that impressive to me, same with Dreg Mangler. These cards feel like filler for this deck. I don't really like Huntmaster of the Fells  Flip either but it's better than the other three cards.

  • Kitchen Finks seems more like a SB card to me against burn or aggro matchups, though it's not the worst thing ever MB

  • Bile Blight is ok but I think Maelstrom Pulse might be better. I would only run 2.

  • Birds of Paradise doesn't really belong in a deck like this. It's not the worst choice but I'd rather be using a discard spell or holding up mana for a Bolt or something T1 than play a Bird.

  • I'm sure you know this, but that mana base is really sub-optimal. You might see the biggest difference in upgrading that first.

Sideboard:

  • 4x Dismember? What for? You already have tons of spot removal in the MB.

  • Drown in Sorrow is meh to me; I'm not so sure you need board wipe in your SB with all the spot removal and creatures you're running. I personally think you have better options for board wipe anyway: Bontu's Last Reckoning, Anger of the Gods and Kozilek's Return seem stronger to me. Damnation would be the best boardwipe but it is pricey. I would only run 1-2 of any of these.

  • Putrefy doesn't seem as good to me as something like Naturalize, even if it means getting got by Welding Jar.

  • Duress isn't the best SB slot. You could probably put this in the MB or just go for Inquisition as noted earlier.

  • Rakdos Charm is ok, you run 4 Scoozes in the MB so you're already decent against graveyard decks.

Entomb, Jarad's Orders, Perpetual Timepiece, Fauna Shaman, Golgari Grave-Troll

Fencing Ace or another Odric guy, maybe Adorned Pouncer, haste guy? Strangleroot Geist, Banehound, Dreg Mangler, Gurmag Swiftwing? maybe haste isn't as important if you're trying to do a go tall/voltron strategy. IDK

Nylea, Keen-Eyed?? self mills, indestructible, cost reduction?

Hi, I recommend you that take out Binding Mummy and Dreg Mangler, it's better to use the Dread Wanderer because recursion and Lord of the Accursed because pump you zombies and give them evasion. Another thing it's take out Corpse Knight and try Relentless Dead because can return itself and sometimes another threat.

For you mana base try the Kaladesh fastlands Blooming Marsh x4 + Concealed Courtyard x1 because your principal color is black, green and white are more like splash, and also your curve is low. Another land you must use it's Castle Locthwain x2, give you the black you need and if needed card draw. If you can use Mutavault x2 its another that also benefits of your Zombie Lords.

In your sideboard you can take out Disposal Mummy for Scavenging Ooze because potentially can remove more cards and also grow. Another big threat you can add it's Kaya, Orzhov Usurper and replace Storrev, Devkarin Lich, the reason are that it's more difficult to kill a planeswalker than a creature in the format, can giveyou sustain exiling cards, kill a threat from aggro decks with low curve like mono red, and eventually with Kaya's ultimate win matches.

Tireless Tracker is a card that I was really thinking about in the three drop slot. Right now I am going with Goblin Rabblemaster because he is more aggressive and has a faster clock. I am thinking about maybe running Dreg Mangler in the three drop slot instead.

thanks Chasmolinker! was actually originally running Stinkweed Imp in addition to Dreg Mangler and liked the synergy with the graveyard building. the only problem i found with the imp is that i don't have any additional card draw in the deck and it replaces the draw step. i'm thinking about replacing Erstwhile Trooper with the imp, but then i lack even more discard abilities. i do agree with the Corpsejack Menace replacement though, will brew around with that!
