Dreg Mangler Discussion

Dark Heart of the Wood Carnage Gladiator Disciple of Griselbrand Corpsejack Menace Dreg Mangler can all be replaced. Could replace keyrunes with other signet? replace Treacherous Urge and Turn Against with better still creature ones

Dreg Mangler would be great here as early beater, recur target, or scavenge

Deathrite Shaman is super versatile and can screw with your opponents graveyards amazingly.
Dreg Mangler is a 3/3 with haste and scavenge for 3cmc.
Varolz, the Scar-Striped makes any of your creatures an absolute wrecker!
Pernicious Deed is an amazing board wipe that deals with those pesky enchantments!
Looks like tons of fun! Good luck!

I already thought about both Fanatic of Xenagos and Dreg Mangler because I own them. Between the two I prefer Dreg Mangler because of its Scavenge utility and the guaranteed haste. I actually don't really like Fanatic.
Of the others I like Tarmogoyf the most. But I don't own one.
Grim Flayer is great. Would try to add when it rotates.
Bloodhall Ooze is a great find. Thanks for that.

My favourite reason to play green for zombies would be another great 2 drop creature you get access to: Lotleth Troll.
There is some great synergy between him, discarding zombies like Prized Amalgam and/or Gravecrawler and recurring everything with said Gravecrawler or Relentless Dead if it' dies on the battlefield. Some builds run Slitherhead who can double up for the troll with scavange. You can really get the bin filled for Diregraf Colossus that way. Also Dreg Mangler for more immediate pressure on board.
Green surely is not a mandatory color to play if you want zombies, but i like what it gives to the tribe.

Hey that's totally cool, and the fact you have four goyf is crazy awesome. Look for cards that either have really nice enters the battlefield abilities but aren't exciting when on the field (so you don't mind sacrificing them), or better than that, creatures and cards that you can use from your graveyard, or can interact with the graveyard. If you don't want to spend much, cool cards like Dreg Mangler, Drown in Filth, Golgari Brownscale, Shambling Shell, Varolz, the Scar-Striped, or a little more you get Deathrite Shaman.
Just a few ideas that might help focus the deck in, make full use of Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord, and still keep the awesome theme of pressure and darkness.
