Crossbow Ambush for Geralt's crossbow.
Silverglade Elemental and Boneyard Lurker remind me a bit of a Leshen.
Ridgescale Tusker and Prowling Pangolin are like a Shaelmaar.
Giant Warthog is a... well a boar.
Ravenous Chupacabra reminds me a lot of the rabid, mangey dogs you find across Velen.
Screeching Harpy is pretty self-explanatory. There are lots of others, but the art on this one is pretty on-point with the Witcher.
Chorts and Fiends kind of look like Baloths and those kinds of beasts in Magic. Nessian Demolok is particularly close, but there's also Baloth Woodcrasher, Blastoderm and Garruk's Companion, among many others.
Werewolves... Take your pick. However very few werewolves in Magic depict them quite like they are in Witcher. They're so gross, painful and deformed in that game, so maybe you can choose some based on that.

Another pretty major tuning pass. The main thing I found after playing this deck a few times was that it wasn't interactive enough with other players. Especially those that had any Flying creatures (I had ZERO answers to flying, other than Constant Mists!). So, in the interest of upping this interaction, I have trimmed out a good amount of the "Awaken" theme to make room for better cards, and more removal, more answers.
These cuts aren't easy to decide on... I'd really love to find a way to fit in 4-6 more lands and really lean into the Landfall theme even harder, but I'm hesitant. I have really come to love the Rude Awakening+Teleportal(overloaded) combo!

I was thinking the same thing regarding Crossbow Ambush and you're right about Tower Defense
Eyeblight Massacre I might sideboard, I agree with you about it being more situational than anything else.

Your fly hate is plentiful. Tower Defense is underwhelming; it's surprising, sure, but you have MANY options to fuck up fliers, making surprise blockers low on the list of things to mess them up. Admittedly, this also works to improve your block chances on the ground as well, but at this point even a fog effect would be preferable most of the time. So, cut it. Same for Crossbow Ambush.
Eyeblight Massacre is really a meta dependent call. I don't know how good it is or isn't for you. If you got some strong token/weenie decks, I guess it's ok-ish. A lot of the time, though, it won't do much at all; it might not actually remove any creatures, and would just be a minor combat advantage for 1 turn. It's highly situational, which is rough if your deck isn't deliberately a tool-box strategy that can easily tutor the perfect weapon for each situation.

What NoNeedToBragoBoutIt said! Though I have a different opinion in a few areas:
- I'm not a big fan of Parallel Evolution. Against any other token decks, it's too often a dead card.
- I'd leave a couple of Elf-producers. If your group is anything like mine, Freyalise is going to die (a lot), or pick up a Faith's Fetters, or get hit with a Lignify, or whatever. And the deck still needs to function without her.
- The only think I actually like about Akroma's Memorial is the flavor text. I just don't think I've ever seen one stay on the table long enough to do any good. And if all I get it for is my own turn, I'd rather just have something like Crossbow Ambush or Treetop Defense for the reach, and save my mana (and $) for something else)
And believe it or not, I've got a few other things for your consideration:
- I really like Winding Canyons lately. It's like the best part of Vedalken Orrery, but doesn't take a spell slot.
- I've never met a Skullclamp I didn't like. At least not in a small-token build :-)
- Maybe a Nylea, God of the Hunt?
- Speaking of which, I love Bow of Nylea in a small-token deck. There's just nothing like Deathtouch to turn a horde of chump-blockers into a horde of bad-asses.
- It hard to tell what your deck will end up looking like, but make sure you have some boardwipe resiliency. NoNeedToBragoBoutIt already mentioned Evolutionary Leap, but please note it does double-duty, as a great way to reestablish your board after a wipe. Another good option is Starved Rusalka. Spawning Pit is almost painfully off-flavor, but is still a decent way to re-establish a board position after a wipe.
- Similarly, you may want a little graveyard hate. Something like Repopulate, Scavenging Ooze, or Tormod's Crypt can really mess with a Meren deck.
- Not sure you need any more mana. But if so, maybe a Druids' Repository, maybe?
Finally, two more possibilities from C15:
- I think Bloodspore Thrinax would be great here.
- Pathbreaker Ibex is a maybe. It's hard to argue with an Overwhelming Stampede on a stick, but I'm not sure you'll have enough fatties to make it worthwhile.

Hi Junius! I'm always excited to see another Rith deck here at TappedOut -- big kudos to you for running the big purple-winged Dragon too!
To counter flyers, I like Thornweald Archer and Bower Passage. Some other options include Earthbind, Grounded, Dust Corona, and Skyblinder Staff. I generally shy away from "until end of turn" effects, but if really bad, maybe a Canopy Claws or Crossbow Ambush?
Of course all of that is adds, and I know you wanted some advice on cutting! Cuts are always SO hard, but I'll take a look later this weekend. Please tag me if I get sidetracked and don't make it back!
