A copy of the The Deckwatch [Home Base] so that we may blow up our coding in peace :)

WELCOME, FRIENDS! :)

So this is my first attempt at creating a hub where we can all communicate!

Unfortunately, as far as I'm aware, TappedOut does not possess any functions for making a group chat (and sites like Discord or an IRC don't link to MtG cards, or keep a record of conversations). This is the closest compromise I could find. I've set it up so you all can edit this "deck", if you want to add anything to the description or spiff up how it looks (since I'm no good at putting custom coding into deckpages).

So here's the story on this concept:

I've been thinking of assembling a sort of subgroup of the most skilled EDH players/deckbuilders on this website, so we can look over each other's decks, deckbuild new commanders as they're released, etc. Many skilled eyes is always better than only one pair, when messing with a new strategy or untested card. And since I usually tag/bother the same people anyway...The goal is a friendly community who tag each other to build semi-cooperatively.

This is very much open to discussion, but here's my initial idea:
This is a group to chat about EDH and ask for advice, both on specific decks and on general brainstorming. In particular, we'll get together and brainstorm/build for new commanders when they're spoiled. Speculation is encouraged!
Although of course there's no formal obligation to do any of this, it all works better with active participation :) I at least will try to comment/look over each of the decks posted here.
I'd love help hashing out the purpose of this group further!

Card that represents me: Vulpine Goliath
For those of you who know and have played against me, I am a heavy combo/griefer. I enjoy game-ending combos and putting my opponents through the wringer until I go off.

My favorite zone is the graveyard. There are so many plays that can be made with it, and with the right cards, the graveyard is essentially part of your hand.

My favorite mono-color is probably green. I've got a fun Rishkar, Peema Renegade combo deck that wins off of The Great Aurora

My favorite 2-color is Azorius. There is so much control capability in White and Blue, and my Lavinia of the Tenth deck likes to display that.

My favorite three-color is hands down Sultai (BUG). In my opinion, it is the greatest 3 color combination of colors for EDH or Mtg as a whole. It provides huge amounts of control, draw, tutors, mana fixing, and graveyard plays.

My favorite quad-color is Witch-Maw (As I like to call, Moist Abzan).

My card in the deck is Underrealm Lich as I believe it embodies everything I like to play. It is a difficult to remove thorn in your side, while banking on filling the graveyard and digging through your library 3 times faster.
I enjoy making cEDH decks in my spare time, but I usually play casual EDH. I am a clinical psychologist by trade and a married father of two. I don't have many hobbies besides making magic decks and working out (so I dont die of a heart attack before the age of 35) because all my time is accounted for most days :-) I consider myself as a great magical theorist but only an average player. I often think about how to break magic cards and improve the efficiency, speed, and resilience of my decklists.

My specialty is anything with BUG in the color scheme but I have plenty of knowledge about most things EDH. I am always happy to talk MTG even if it means some wife aggro...

The cards that best represents me are Ad Nauseam and Paradox Engine. I value synergy and quality in my card choices and my decks often end up putting me on the brink of death most games due to my willingness to trade life for power. I am Spike and a Johnny, but I don't mind losing if it means I can try something outside the box.

Started playing MtG many years ago when 'Fourth Edition' hit the streets. Since then I stopped and started several times until 'Born of the Gods' was released.... myself and a few old buddies decided to hop on the magic train once again!

These days we only play the Commander format. For me it's a mix of cEDH and fun EDH. I try to adapt myself to the group we are playing with. Fun and good times are the most important thing, something that can be achieved with casual- and competitive play.

I love shaping decks. My view on any deck is that it's never a completed project, but needs shaping and tweaking as time and sets progresses.

Summon me if you ever need help. I like to play with Green, white and black. But I absolutely dislike blue.... just cause so many people play this in my area.

I'm relatively new to MTG, I started playing during Innistrad. I only play EDH now, it is by far my favorite format.

I am the self proclaimed, "King of Misplays."

I am notoriously bad(good) at overlooking things while in the middle of an hours long game. Thus, I try to double down on studying Magic cards and interactions I'm unfamiliar with in an effort to counteract my obliviousness. Always open to suggestions, always willing to give any advice if needed!

Hello! I'm AwezomePozzum, a theorycrafting Commander player from Michigan. I build and change decks here on tappedout almost weekly, but I am unable to financially support building almost any of them. Low budget, big ideas. I get really, _really_ excited during spoiler season, for ANYTHING. Mostly Magic though.

I try and find any way to help around that I can, and I have general knowledge of EDH, other than competitive. I just don't know enough about it to provide information. (I also dislike cEDH personally)

The card that best fits my personality is Arcbound Ravager. While I am not a cannibalistic robot, I am resourceful, adaptable, and I can run like the wind. (It must be able to as well with those legs, right?)

Custom commander, two custom cards. Hopefully balanced. Definitely fun.
In all seriousness, it's angel tribal, exalted midrange, aurapalooza, and slightly group hug. That's a lot of themes. It works though, one of the funniest things to do in the deck is to play political and give your opponent's permanents indestructible, in exchange for them not exiling your shit.

It can run Rafiq of the Many in the command zone and swap in 3 other cards if it has to, because not everyone thinks custom cards should be used in commander, even if your entire testing playgroup *and* multiple expert edh players agree they are balanced. *[insert shrug here]*
My real name is Ryan. I started playing sometime during the Ice Age and Homelands expansions. Stopped playing for several years (Onslaught block)and only got back after being introduced to the Commander format.

I work for the government and am currently taking up my masters in Public Administration. Aside from Magic: the Gathering, I am also into aquariums. I also played a bit of college basketball.

MTG was a part of my early childhood with my older brother introducing me to Mirage and Arabian Nights. There was a large gap from then and I had only just picked it back up with the release of Khans, and I've been near obsessed ever since.

Hey, I'm Tacticsninja16782, but you can call me Max, or really whatever you like. I love playing magic and have been for almost four years now. Here's a quick few facts about me. I am a junior in a performance arts highschool, focusing on piano and theater. The decks I am best at building are control decks, however I can fine tune and help with any one if you just ask :). I love philosophy, card games, DnD, board games, and a hundred other things. I work really hard on my magic decks, but also brew about a deck a day. I don't pursue many of them very far. If a deck sticks out to me as something to keep working on, I tinker and fine tune it, and you get things like my grand arbiter EDH deck. I play two types of commander. Ohai Dere! I'm Eiti3, phonetically 83, and I started MTG in M13 in my college years. And due to paying my way with cash, I ended up playing my first entire year with paper in sleeves. That paper Mana Crypt looks great next to that paper Forest. And it wasn't until a few months after I bought my first EDH deck, as Tribal Slivers, did I win my first game - with a Virulent Sliver I put in earlier that day. So yea, I have the greatest rap sheet of a MTG player.

Other than that, I play EDH primarily. My goal is to never netdeck and to build decks or themes that nobody has ever thought up before. Looking at any of my decks will hold this notion. Lastly, I'm a stubborn dolt who needs some rather heavy explaining done when suggestions are made. Having someone say "Nah, Gilded Lotus is a bad card, you should use Hedron Archive instead" lends no insight or reason behind it than an opinion.

Previously known as Zimmers_0 - From the grand nothingness that is North Dakota. I enjoy deck building just as much as playing. The whole strategy based idea behind MTG is what hooked me. Watching combos go off and seeing that you can do just about anything you imagine if you just search hard enough and pick your colors right. Alternative wins are my favorite next would be pain decks. Death and Taxes style decks are my next favorite. Making decisions in MTG can be hard, so I would like to make that choice even worse. I don't play to win, I play to have fun. Counters aren't my favorite so I'll just make you pay an arm and a leg to cast that spell then destroy it for near nothing on my turn.

At this point, I almost solely play EDH. It's too vast not to want to play and strongly suggest anyone who hasn't played to give it a try.

Hey guys, my name is Cal. I am from Michigan and I am studying Information Systems with minors in Information Security Systems and Business. I have been playing MtG since the Theros block was released, and I primarily played in the Modern and Standard formats. However, since I was introduced to Commander it has quickly grown to become my new favorite format. I watch a crap ton of anime and that's about all you really need to know about me. Blue is almost always an auto-include in every multicolored deck of mine because there's nothing I love more than holding onto a counterspell to potentially shut down or cripple an opponent's gameplan. Control and Stax are two my favorite deck strategies because I get a sick pleasure out of inconveniencing and annoying other players. I try to be on here just about every day if I can so holler at me if you want me to check something out and I'll gladly try to help in any way I can!

I chose Leovold to represent me due to my affinity toward Sultai colors, and because people tend to think my decks are broken and unfair when they see them in action and Leovold just tends to enforce that notion. If Leovold was still Commander legal, I would 100% be playing him over Tasigur right now.
I started playing Magic in Seventh Edition, though I took a pretty long hiatus after Scourge due to my friends deciding they were too "cool" for Magic (philistines). I picked the game back up in law school shortly before Khans of Tarkir, and have been playing since. I generally consider myself a Johnny player, preferring to build decks around unusual or interesting cards.

Creature: Grand Arbiter Augustin IV. I personally identify as having Azorius colours, though, I've been told my sarcasm, dark humour, and judgmental side firmly put me in Esper.

Hello!

I'm DrkNinja, you can call me Ninja for short. I'm a gamer of all games (board, video, card, etc.), a parent, and a techy. I live in a small town in North Carolina, and I repair Cell Phones for a living.

I've been playing Magic since I was 12 (I'm now 26) when Coldsnap had just released I believe. I have on again, off again played Standard and Modern throughout the years until the release of the original Commander decks where I was introduced to EDH for the first time. Since then I have dedicated myself to EDH exclusively as EDH doesn't change, it's just added onto; meaning I don't have to shell out hundreds of dollars every rotation to keep up with cards that will be worthless after rotating.

I ride the line of casual and competitive, I optimize my decks however I try to maintain a certain power level so that I can continue to play with my playgroup who is casual. I stay away from cEDH because I enjoy the act of playing and I like player interaction; cEDH is all about getting to your combo and winning on T3-4 if not earlier. I pride myself on being a Johnny, as I love card interactions and this very much shows in all of my decks. I also love building EDH decks to challenge myself mentally, as I can only use one of each card.

Being a parent of two my budget is very tight so a lot of the decks I have on my T/O are concept/proxy decks; I own at least one of almost every card in all my decks except the original duals.

Hi! My name is Darkshadow327, creator of the [EDH Tribal Series](https://tappedout.net/mtg-deck-folders/edh-tribal-series/) and self proclaimed EDH Tribesmaster, but you can call my Darky for short. I am currently pursuing a career in the medical field (Anesthesiologist to be specific), and Magic is a good way to relieve stress. Speaking of Magic I've been playing since the November of my Freshman year of High School, about 2 months after Kaladesh released. After my friend started teaching me that fateful morning I went home and did **tons** of research on M:tG. Sometime within those first few months of playing I discovered this site, and then EDH. Up until then I had only known about Modern (since I played kitchen table, or rather lunch table, modern with my friend at school). The moment I discovered EDH I fell in love, and have been ever faithful since.

Unfortunately my playgroup doesn't really like EDH, but don't worry I will convert them. This means that I am still stuck playing casual Modern. This means that most of my decks on here are theorycrafted. However, sometimes I am able to find the time to play on Untap.in, so if you ever see me there give me a wave (username is the same there as it is here). Short Bio: In all honesty I haven't been in the game very long. The interest was always there but growing up I lived in a region where card games just weren't around. Wasnt until I moved here and met some of the enthusiasts at work that I was given the chance to really sink my teeth into the monster that is Magic. Started when Amonkhet had first released so in terms of sheer expeerience I'll be the first to admit I have much to learn. I let myself get pulled in, obssessing over articles and decks I thought were cool. I've probably saved at least one of each of your decks at one point or another even before I joined the Deckwatch because the people involved are, in my humble opinion, some of the best on the site and I enjoyed reading the thought, creativity, and passion put into every one of the decks they make.

Neheb, Dreadhorde Champion: for a variety of reasons. The largest of which is that I like to go fast because if you’re not first, you’re last. If there’s anything in this game that I excel at it’s taking a commander and making him lightning quick. My neheb build has achieved victory on turn 2 (albeit with a perfect opening hand). I have a Yidris that storms off between turn 3 and 4. With my windgrace deck I proved that it’s possible for even him, who is widely considered a mid-range value general, to win as early as turn 3 or 4 with land-storm.

Mental Misstep because sometimes I'm considering so many lines and interactions I forget what I'm doing haha

My favorite deck that I have made is deck. I have a paper version of this deck, but it is not quite as good as this one.

The card that represents me is Norin the Wary. Not because I am scared or anything(he he), but because I am kind of a weird, one-off kind of effect. My favorite card in general is Parhelion II, because it is literally a flying aircraft carrier with a deathray attached(Solar Blaze)! What's not to love?

Short bio: I'm a music teacher by day which doesn't give me as much time as I'd like to do other things except in the summer. I teach in Colorado, though I'm originally from Missouri. I moved out here so my wife could be closer with her family. I started playing Magic when I was in middle school about the time 8th Edition came out. My first structure deck that wasn't a core set deck was Fun With Fungus which shaped my love for that tribe and for tokens and counters. I only ever played casual kitchen table until I discovered EDH with the 2013 commanders. It was a hobby of mine to make budget 60-card decks until the last several years when my focus shifted primarily to EDH. Now I try to make as many different commanders as I can on a budget while slowly upgrading the ones I own.

Hobbies: I'm an aspiring author, so I love reading and writing especially in the fantasy genre. Can you tell from my name that I'm a huge Harry Potter fan? I'm a Horn player (it's NOT French...) and also love various video games most of which are Nintendo titles; Zelda and Star Fox are my favorites. However I will stand by Dragon Age: Origins as one of the greatest games ever.

Creature that represents me: Ghave, Guru of Spores Everything from his creature type to his mechanics fits me. I love +1/+1 counters, tokens, and aristocrat style play. I am Abzan colors all the way, and I developed the way I like to play with fungus cards from Time Spiral. The nostalgia factor there is real.
