Treacherous Urge

Instant

Target opponent reveals his or her hand. You may put a creature card from it into play under your control. That creature has haste. Sacrifice it at end of turn.

just fyi, Obeka cannot be used to cancel "until end of turn effects." These do not use the stack and trigger during the cleanup step. When Obeka taps, she will just make a new cleanup step and all until end of turn effects will still trigger. What you're looking for is "at the beginning of the next end step." or "at end of turn." Because all instances of "at end of turn" have been oracled to "at the beginning of the next end step." You've got it right with Kiki-Jiki, Zara, and Puppeteer Clique for instance. Obeka has no real synergy with Act of Treason, Coercive Recruiter, or Traitorous Blood and the like however, aside from stealing temporarily to make clones of someone's creature. Basically always avoid "until end of turn." Some good examples of theft spells that she works splendid with are Treacherous Urge, Macabre Mockery, Gruesome Encore, and Slave of Bolas.

It's pretty disappointing because she's really only viable with like 10 different theft cards, so theft is only ever great as a sub-theme for Obeka.

You can also use her to cancel out bad ETBs such as in Boldwyr Heavyweights like in your maybeboard, Eater of Days or Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger. This is kinda dicey however if you're mixing a lot of end step effects and bad etbs as you'll tap in response to the ETBs then leave the end step effects to still trigger on the very next end step, which will be your opponent's. "At end of combat" triggers such as those on Flamerush Rider also work with her as they use the stack on the End of Combat step.

legendofa yes!! That's the card, and I totally agree haha. Those long pale arms, man...

Your list totally reminded me about Treacherous Urge! And Amnesia, although besides the needles I always thought the art was pretty humorous

I remember LSV saying during draft coverage/streaming that he thought Behind the Scenes art was too disturbing

There's no hope; it's all ogre now. Blade of Selves, Mimic Vat and Treacherous Urge are all in line with what you're looking for since Obeka can exile the triggers. Good stuff, I'll look to this when I brew her.

My friend is playing Karametra, God of Harvests, I'm messing around with a Nicol Bolas Act of Treason deck.

They play creatures, I steal them and swing them back, should be fun, right?

Nope, mana screw hits hard. He's ramping and ramping and filling his board, and I've managed to drop a Goblin Bombardment. I eventually hit a Treacherous Urge for his Kozilek, Butcher of Truth, but I'm not doing well.

He's ramped enough now to throw down Storm Herd.

Hey, I get to do something. Reverberate.

Now we both got an army of 1/1 fly pegasus but he's got the advatage still. Hmmm...

Oh, right. I've got Goblin Bombardment.

I manage to win the game by throwing all my pegasus at his face.

There's a promo of Brain Maggot that is absolutely disgusting and perverse, I think it'd be pretty cool.

In terms of extra cards, I'd suggest some legendary creatures from the Kamigawa blocks, not only is their art exactly what you're looking for, but some have the same theme as your deck. Here's the ones I would suggest:

Some extra weird cards that I've found in my journey's:

Overall, really cool deck theme! I'd put in an Underworld Dreams because it's pretty creepy and goes great with your theme +1

Oh yeah! and you should take out Jungle Hollow and Bloodfell Caves!

Nice. A few suggestions, given your new theme:

Hazoret's Favor is built for this deck.

Mogg Cannon is less powerful, but a backup sac outlet and cheap.

Mark of Mutiny is a good threaten for Greven.

Traitorous Instinct is basically Malevolent Whispers v0.9.

Treacherous Urge gets any creatures your opponents think they can keep in-hand until Greven leaves the field.

Varchild, Betrayer of Kjeldor , Goblin Spymaster , Hunted Dragon , and Hunted Horror will make sure you have a steady stream of creatures to kill.

Molten Primordial , Insurrection , Mass Mutiny , Captivating Crew , Angrath, the Flame-Chained , Conquering Manticore are all notable Threatens that are missing.

Auger Spree doubles as removal and card draw. Bedeck / Bedazzle does the same and also hits problematic lands. Nameless Inversion is probably the worst of the three, but it can be grabbed by creature tutors, so there's that.

Unwilling Recruit and Might Makes Right might not be efficient, but they will be funny.

Goatnap . That is all.

Hi! I'm relatively new to this aikido style of control/pillow fort. I've already learned a bit from everyone's comments already, so thank you guys! :)

I've made a list of cards that I imagine fits the archetype but that I haven't seen in most lists. I would really appreciate if i could get your experienced opinions on them. Thank you all in advance :)

Oblation / Chaos Warp - Removal spells that double up as a way to rescue your own permanents. Also sweetens the pill for your opponent when you remove their things - at least they get something.

Spectral Grasp - Prevents a creature from attacking you like the Vows do, but unlike the Vows, Spectral Grasp also makes them unable to block your creatures.

Varchild, Betrayer of Kjeldor - Gives your opponents 1/1s that can't attack you or block, incentivizing them to hit each other with them. When Varchild eventually bites the dust you even get all the survivor tokens that have, well, survived.

Scheming Symmetry - A cheap Imperial Seal that lets you cooperate with an opponent.

Crown of Doom - Incentivizes your opponents to attack each other and can't be returned to you.

Mathas, Fiend Seeker - Rewards you and your opponents for killing creatures that don't belong to you.

Flash Conscription - Seems to fit aikido quite nicely if I've come to understand the term correctly. Steals an opponent's creature at instant speed to block, and it even gets a lifelink-effect if you payed white. Does cost 6 mana though...

Master Warcraft - Its uses include making opponents' creatures kill each other, assuring your survival one combat step if an opponent is threatening and letting your creatures slip past clogged up boards for lethal damage.

Disharmony - Steals an attacking creature to let you block with it.

Jabari's Influence - Gain permanent control of a creature that attacked you. Its drawbacks is that it costs 5 and only works on nonblack and nonartifact creatures which limits its uses, in addition to shrinking its power slightly. Still feels pretty on theme.

Soul Snare - Similar to Gossamer Chains in the way that you make it clear for your opponents that attacking someone else is in their best interest.

Boros Fury-Shield - A narrower Deflecting Palm that costs 1 more mana. Still fits the theme nicely I think.

Encircling Fissure - One sided fog. Can punish an opponent for being overly aggressive with their creatures. Can also help out an opponent in a pinch to make them owe you a favour later on.

Treacherous Urge - Can steal an opponent's creature from their hand and hit them with it. It's also a instant, so you can use it in response to someone attacking you.

Mindclaw Shaman - Quite similar to Treacherous Urge , but hits instants and sorceries instead.

Coveted Jewel - Provides you or the one who steals it from you with ramp and cards. Everyone wants in on that good stuff, right? I imagine that this could get tossed around a bit, but maybe 6 mana is a bit much, even if you get 3 of them back right away...
