Introducing Cumly Cube 1.4.2! 4 months ago, Cumly Cube 1.4.1 was released. This was the first minor update. As promised, minor tweaks would continue, both to fix any remaining imbalances and keep the card pool fresh. The following 36 swaps were made to remove two strategies that never found a home in Cumly Cube -- enchantments matter and Centaurs. Instead of trying to make them work, it was easier to remove them. On the other end of the spectrum, a few problematic cards were removed for being too powerful or annoying to play against. Some new cards bolster tribal synergies, while others search for specific planeswalkers, providing an interesting dynamic to look out for while drafting.

Here are the changes, provided with brief justifications:

REMOVED:

  1. Aether Vial: too powerful
  2. Ajani's Chosen: enchantment matters cards are no longer part of Cumly Cube

Phule451 Thanks! Naya lands come easily to me, so this deck was half completed before she was even spoiled! the fetch lands are still budget for Gruul and Selesnya compared to the others. You're definitely right about the number of creatures, I can pull out 20+ cards sometimes after sacrificing an egg. Ah, Blasphemous Act , how did I forget that? great card. Triassic Egg is simply too high in CMC to use, it's not identified as an egg, so I may still have to rely on it's abilities. Nesting Dragon is new to me, and is going into the maybeboard for now. I like the idea on paper, landfall after five lands could still prove a slow battle. It's the reason most of my sac outlets aim to be free, even 1 mana can make a lot of difference if you don't have early plays to keep you going.

Surprised how fast I got beaten to build egg tribal! Congrats, looks like a fun deck. Why I saw this commander spoiled, Triassic Egg was actually the first card that came to mind. It'll give you something to do with high mana creatures that find their way into your hand. Nesting Dragon would also really fit the theme you have going. Also, I think your number of creatures is too low. You really wanna be cheating in huge things with your eggs. That being said, you may want a few more board wipes like Blasphemous Act to not only control your opponents' boards, but also kill off your own eggs for value. Just a few suggestions, hope at least a couple help you out.

I am not sure of the good cards but since you are building around Mayael maybe add some cards to abuse her trigger. For example Magewright's Stone Extra triggers for late game when you have the ability to activate twice.

Deathrender to cheat a creature in after a death

Triassic Egg Flavor win?

MagicalHacker, Triassic Egg would be great for this set, but its name references a period of history in actuality, so that would likely make it ineligible for a reprint in this set.
