I saw Ashling the Pilgrim , and I had to see how it played as a Commander. When I first played it, I had 99 Mountains in the deck, and while I did not win, I took second in a group of four. Not bad for a "one-trick pony!"

I've put in quite a few cards in place of many of those Mountains since then. Those in my playgroup who have faced this deck before now groan (in good-natured way) when they see this one come out to play. It takes an attitude to play this deck: specifically, a willingness to "burn the world!" Not a competitive deck, but certainly one of my favorites to pilot...

"There are those who want to watch the world burn -- as long as they believe that they would rule the ashes." --Wyluk the Wise.
