Vhati il-Dal was my first commander and my first deck using him went terribly. This is my second attempt and I'd like some advice. It attempts to win through one of the following combos:

Leyline of the Void + Helm of Obedience

Vhati il-Dal + Tree of Perdition

Earthcraft + Squirrel Nest

or by achieving the Helix Pinnacle win condition via one of the following combos:

Umbral Mantle + Viridian Joiner + two mana

Magus of the Coffers + Umbral Mantle + 6 swamps

I'd appreciate some suggestions on how I could change the deck, perhaps to be more defensive
