Maybeboard

Instant (2)

This deck plays best in a multiplayer setting because most players won't understand Taniwha and so they will sleep on you for a bit. The strategy is to ramp hard with cheap mana rocks, play Taniwha, and then start getting stax-y once it's in play. Your next turn after playing Taniwha (its first turn phased out), folks might question why your lands didn't phase out. You'll need to remind them that because Taniwha doesn't exist that turn (because it's phased out), its ability doesn't cause your lands to phase out. So the next turn, when Taniwha phases in, you'll need to respond to its ability by tapping your lands for mana, let them phase out, and then use the floating mana to play hate spells, like Sunder. There's a few tutor spells to help you find Sunder (or other useful cards), and then there's a suite of recursion cards to get back those useful instants back from your Graveyard.

Is this deck weird, janky, a bit aggro, a bit stax? Yes! Hands down, my favorite EDH deck.... if at least just for the lols

The Maybe Board is for cards I haven't yet gotten around to swapping into this deck because I need to get some more copies of them.

Notable cards that go together:

Shimmer + Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth

Taniwha + Sunder

Taniwha + Mana Vortex

Taniwha + Land Equilibrium

Taniwha + Ward of Bones

EDIT: Because of an unexpected banning, I had to take out Invoke Prejudice. It has been replaced with Teferi, Master of Time.
