I hated Amonkhet, it was my first prerelease and I just couldn't stand -1 counters haha. The whole set seemed pointless but I moved forward with my life. Then, one day when I felt like getting weird, I began looking for commanders. I saw Gavi and fell in love with those little dinosaur cats, reminds me of my own little dino cat Pip! So, because I was overwhelmed with cuteness, I decided to build a whole deck around Gavi and cycling haha.

I assumed the deck wouldn't be that great but it would be new and interesting. Boy was I surprised, now the only two times I've played with it I won with Approach of The Second Sun, consistently and easily. The deck feels extremely smooth and consistent. It's like no deck I've ever played before. I love it! So naturally I began searching on Scryfall for more cycling cards aside from those I've already been aware of.

Boom just like that I found the rune of protection cycle, and a ton of other relevant cards. So now not only do I have tons of cycling cards to dig for win cons, but those cycling cards are actually quite relevant.

I love this deck, I love Gavi as a commander. I can do anything with her. I've even considered a throwback to my standard days and running the crazy cat lady combo for fun haha.
