I originally made a white border deck led by Sol'kanar the Swamp King, but after playing it I decided to change the focus of the deck to make it a little more competitive in my meta. I decided to switch to Dakkon Blackblade and shift to a control shell so that I could better compete in games.

After playing it, this deck runs much better than the grixis version. It has better removal, has a better chance of winning via commander damage, and doesn't have to play a bunch of spells that turn things into swamps (see Orcish Farmer). If you are building a white border deck in EDH, esper is the way to go.

This deck has a large number of game changers so it is technically a 4, but it can barely hang in a pod of 2s or 3s. Most of the gamechangers are tutors, which are used to get removal, counters, or Loxodon Warhammer.
