Based off and modified of THE BRAVE DONT FEAR THE GRAVE The first time you summon cloud, you want the following based off what you need

Nissan bitterthorn or Dowsing dagger or animast - If you need more mana in the following order of how badly you need it Aetherspark or Gavel of righteousness - if you want to start stacking a little more permantley or cheaply and get double strike, makes your commander stronger and more importantly more durable and if he dies, the artifact has to be removed some other way Adaptive omnitool - if you want to start searching through your deck for more artifacts Sword of hearth and home - if you want to start recycling, target your commander (if low counters or none) or stoneforge mystic if it is on the field Blood forged battle axe - if you think no one can currently stop you at the moment or you happen to have a way to currently protect cloud need to add buster sword when in database replace rogues glove

For later on in the game I would recommend this other than the ones above - Mithril coat - just to make sure commander can live on something lethal - Two-handed axe if you have alot of counters from the others - Commander Plate - to gain protection from other colors - Bilbo ring - To make sure your commander can't be block - Godsend if you need to remove something blocking

Extremely late game Argentinum armor - If there are permants to remove Assualt suit - if there is something that wants you to sacrifice - All the other protection stuff if still not haved

Depends Barrow blade - if an enemy has something that can screw you up if attacked or if they block
