Wyleth, Soul of Steel Discussion
jakeyuki12 thanks so much for the advice! I added some more ramp and balanced out the mana curve a bit more. I think the changes will improve the deck. Still experimenting, I'm sure it will evolve with time once I get more used to playing with it. Wondering if white or red have a tutor card that can allow me to search my deck for a particular card. Also, having added Wyleth, Soul of Steel into the deck, I'm hoping to figure out some more combos. Thinking this will be a fusion of angels-giants and auras-equipments, thematically.

jakeyuki12 Everyone has their preferred land amount. I play games all the time with 33 lands. 1/3rd of your deck being land is plenty enough. Putting it another way, I'm less likely to be fucked by getting too much land when I need to draw something important. There aren't an insane amount of high cost cards in the deck.
Otherwise, yes, I've thought about adding Skullclamp and adding in more ramp and draw. However since we are not in green, these cards can be pricey. This deck isn't meant to be going against 800$+ decks. I'm running Esper Sentinel and Smothering Tithe ... These are already pushing some high cost cards. While we have some more reasonable draw and ramp with Wyleth, Soul of Steel , Sol Ring , Arcane Signet , Thought Vessel , Tome of the Guildpact , Heartwarming Redemption , and Thrilling Discovery .
I think your critique was coming from a point of top tier money pit view, instead of what the deck is meant to be.

For those, like me, who missed that there was some previews today: https://twitter.com/wizards_magic/status/1395415742753824770
Card spoilers Show
Loth: Couldn't they just make her a God? Feels like a dilution of the "Planeswalker" concept beyond "someone who can teleport between planes". Anyway, you can obviously immediately kill four of your own creatures somehow to get that ultimate right away. Low-power first strikers coupled with other creatures is the only way I can think of to abuse it; that way you can get the 8 life loss minimum at the first combat damage step and then go on with the rest. (Also, the borderless art is surprisingly grisly.)
Drizzt: Feels kinda weird that the unpronounceable cat companion is all but designed to attack once and then die, though I suppose decent power + trample synergizes with Drizzt's third ability. (Also, Rangers are back! https://twitter.com/mtgaaron/status/1395428541794164737)

Akiri, Fearless Voyager or Wyleth, Soul of Steel might be better in the command zone. If your card draw is more equipment based with Puresteel Paladin like cards. I run a boros avacyn deck too and I lean into her flip and deal 3 damage to everyone ability, as more of a blink deck, here she just kills all your creatures. I've also been a fan of Forging the Tyrite Sword lately

Hiya! Long time Boros player here. Your list seems like a good start, but there are 2 main areas that I think it can be improved on.
1) Removal- Your deck is very lacking in removal. This is gonna lead to games where you won't be able to deal with threats and/or you won't be able to reset the board. I'd say you want 10-12 pieces of removal, with 4-5 of those being baord wipes. Akiri especially synergizes with board wipes since she's able to turn them into one-sided board wipes with her protection ability.
2) Creature choice- Akiri encourages you to have multiple creatures and suit each one up with at least 1 equipment. This can be mana intensive, and thus Akiri really likes creatures that can reduce equip costs, including free equip creatures. This also means Akiri doesn't like creatures that want to hog all the equipment onto themselves. Thus, I suggest cutting Kemba, Kha Regent , Valduk, Keeper of the Flame , and Champion of the Flame . Mirran Crusader and Wyleth, Soul of Steel are also questionable, but they're good enough with one equipment on them. I would recommend adding in those creatures that reduce your equip costs like Fervent Champion , Kazuul's Toll Collector , Zirda, the Dawnwaker , etc.
Aside from that, it's only individual cards that can probably be swapped out for better ones. I do recommend some of the recent commander legends and commander 2020 cards that get better when you have your commander out. I'm talking Deflecting Swat , Flawless Maneuver , Jeska's Will , and Akroma's Will .

Hiya! I think the deck is really solid! +1 from me. The only thing I would change is the land count.
I ran the numbers on your deck, and the chance of drawing a hand with at least 3 lands (or 1-2 lands plus land tax/enlightened tutor, I included those in the stats) in either your first hand or your free mulligan (so that you still start with 7) is only about 70%. Upping the land count by 3 increases those chances to 80%. It only goes up fro there with more lands (or more mulligans if you're okay with going down cards).
With that in mind, I suggest adding in 3-5 more lands. Get it to the point where you're feeling good about the odds of drawing enough lands to start but you aren't flooding out too many games.
As for what to cut for the lands, there are a handful of creatures I don't think are particularly good in the deck. The biggest ones are Kemba, Kha Regent and Wyleth, Soul of Steel . Akiri encourages you to have multiple creatures and put at least one equipment on each of them. These two do not encourage that, they encourage you to put all equipment onto just them. I think they work much better in a deck that has Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist in the command zone, but not in an Akiri deck. I feel the same way about Swiftblade Vindicator as it is also probably best with lots of equipment on it, but I could see that one going either way. You could also probably afford to cut a mana rock since you've got enough ramp in the deck to spare, and you've also got a lot of cost reducers and free equips, which are gonna save you a ton of mana anyways.
Those are my thoughts though. Hopefully it gives you something to think about. I'm looking to build myself a budget Akiri deck (since I already have a non-budget equipment deck), so I've been thinking a lot about this general :D
