Decklist Update 2

Mainboard- Addition: 2x Blight Herder Dropped: 1x Ob Nixilis 1x Arlinn Kord Sideboard- Addition: 1x Ob Nixilis 1x Arlinn Kord Dropped: 2x Natural State Maybeboard- Added: Gideon, Ally of Zendikar Decided to take Ob Nixilis and Arlinn Kord out of Mainboard and try out Blight Herder. With the amount of removal in the form of exile it seems like a really good choice to try it out. Tested it some and the three scions are really good, whether I'm mana short or if I just want more token swarm. Ob didn't really synergize well since he just destroying creatures (unless Kalitas was on the board) and his card draw is okay at best. However Ob Nixilis still has his decent match ups. If I feel like I need more removal and they don't have much recursion or delirium, then he's pretty decent. Arlinn Kord was moved to sideboard since she's a "win more" kind of card. Drawing into her while I'm behind is kinda just a pain and drawing into her while ahead is pointless, since I'm probably gonna win anyway. The only decent play I had with her was +1 on a Gideon I just dropped and +1, swinging for 7. Was some good synergy, but very conditional. Dropped two of the Natural States, since running four just seemed excessive. Pretty self explanatory there honestly. Also considering adding more Gideons, since he's probably one of the best walkers to play early, and still decent late on a draw or even when behind a little.I DID IT 4-0 WITH WEREWOLVES!! plus changes.

Tonight was great, in fact someone liked the deck so much last week, my first match was a mirror..except he didn't have my changes. :(
Match 1: G/R Werewolves 2-0
Game 1 on draw: He had fantastic early aggro, however my lambholt pacifists+Moonlight Hunt stopped it quick to gain the advantage...LOTS of flips in this game..lol
Game 2 on draw: Evolutionary Leap literally won me this game, anytime he played removal, I just got a new card. Out removaled the removal with removal I guess?
Match 2: Blue/White Humans 2-1
Game 1 on play: Village Messenger Flip x2 by turn two and a Dual Shot to thalia's lietenant + Dragon Hunter gained me the advantage ( this seems oddly familiar to last weeks...)
Game 2 on draw: 4 reflector mages later. Sad pandawolf is sad.
Game 3 on play: Very close game, Evolving Wilds kind of almost messed me up...So gonna look into that..
Match 3: Goggles 2-0
Game 1 and 2: geir reach bandit was the allstar here honestaly, the haste and him tapping out to play goggles was just a shut down game 1. Game 2 was similar, but ....Atarka's Command for lethal...Considering dropping it down on these and placing in sideboard.
Match 4: Bant Humans: 2-1 (same guy last week, except now included cocky attitude)
Game 1 on play: Dude was demolished, Moonlight Hunt i love you.
Game 2 on draw: Mull to 5, game was actually close. I feel the lack of cards is what got me, but at the same time I feel like if I had a Arlinn Kord Flip atleast once, the board wipes would not have been so bad with Tragic Arrogance
Game 3 on play: Revenge was mine and may the Wolfs howl at the moon tonight! (Evolutionary Leap shined like a golden goose egg this round)
OKay, now with all that out of the way Changes I am considering.
Atarka's Command x2 to sideboard, upping land count by 2. Collected Company no longer in sideboard. Village Messenger Flip x1 and Howlpack Resurgencex1 removed for Arlinn Kord Flip x2 Evolving Wilds x2 gone, just gone. Kozilek's Returnx1 out of sideboard for good Display of Dominancex2 into sideboard
Thank you everyone for taking time to read and any and all help is greatly appreciated!

Fun Combo
lumby, 9 years ago
Played a game with this deck, went pretty smoothly. Casting Lure on Greater Basilisk after using Jolrael, Empress of Beasts ability to change their lands into 3/3 creatures. Forcing them to block death touch and lose their lands.
Traded out Mycosynth Wellspring, Tranquil Path, Garruk's Companion, Duskdale Wurm, Hidden Gibbons, Quirion Explorer, Skyshooter for Cobbled Wings, Garruk's Packleader, Slice in Twain, Triumph of Ferocity, Explore, Deadly Recluse, Greenweaver Druid. Most of these changes were to help draw more cards.

1st round: Bye (which secured me a price booster with Westvale Abbey Flip, yay!)
2nd round: Terrible draws, multiple mulligans, lost 0:2, but we both felt like my deck had a very good chance if I hadn't drawn that badly. My opponent was playing BG, producing eldrazi tokens and either sacrificing them, or tapping them to Cryptolith Rite to play big stuff. In the next two games we played for fun, I pretty much steamrolled him, because I had the combo of getting Olivia out and playing Drana right afterwards, giving her haste via Olivia and thereby buffing both with tokens.
3rd round: UR control deck with Thing in the Ice Flip, Jace, Vryn's Prodigy Flip and Chandra, Flamecaller. Very interesting games! The decklist was similar to this one: http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/for-thousands-of-years-i-laid-dormant-1/
I lost the first game after a long, long fight. The Chandras always just use their -X ability to completely clear my board, anything else is basically dealt with by using instants. The control was too much for me to deal with. I won the second game at about round 5, attacking with Ravenous Bloodseeker, discarding and casting Fiery Temper and then adding Unleashed Fury to deal a total of 11 dmg in one turn, with just one small creature attacking. The third game was the most close I've ever played. I managed to hit my opponent, while he was simultaneously removing my creatures and triggering his sphinx tutelage. I was down to my last card, he had 1 life. I drew Heir of Falkenrath Flip and lost, but was very happy with how exciting this long game was.
All in all, I am rather happy with my deck, although I didn't win a round. The two non-official games in my second round and the one where I just rushed my opponent down in the third round were really nice.
I have managed to trade for two Dranas and one Foreboding Ruins, which are now replacing Elusive Tormentor Flip and Swamp respectively. Drana is just really strong and getting her and Olivia more consistently probably will be what will make this deck win more.
Although some people think that Incorrigible Youths are bad because they have no evasion, and I agree about the missing evasion being quite bad, it has been very strong against the control opponent whose only creatures were Jayce and Thing in the Ice, both of which don't stand a chance against my card. For now I will keep it.

Dispel vs Essence Flux
L1NX, 9 years ago
After watching day one of Pro Tour SOI, Bant Company seems like the deck to beat. Because of this I decided to replace the 2 Essence Flux with Dispels. If CoCo decks aren't big in your local meta then you don't need to worry as much about running dispel but it's still a good card against many instant speed removal cards.4-0 my first FMN with this
Draigus, 9 years ago
Some changes were made right before FNM and I think they made a larger impact than what I originally had. 2 Nissa, Voice of Zendikar and one Sidisi, Undead Vizier were added. The Liliana's Indignation was a novel idea but kept being a dead card when playtesting. The Nissa's are, of course, better.
First round was a mono-red budget Eldrazi that went pretty quick. The second game I had Ulamog out, then sac'd 5 other creatures with Cutthroat out to flip Westvale Abbey.
Second round was U/B mill. I won this one in 3. Languish hurts.
Third was B/W mid-range (non-Eldrazi). This one went to three as well. More Languish with Virulent Plague but I still managed to get the W. He did get mana-screwed a bit in game 3 or it might have ended differently.
Final round was against BANT company, and this one was close. First game Ulamog secured that win by milling 20 per swing. I managed to get 3/4 Reflector Mages with the first swing. The second game went his way and I got to cast Atarka 3 times in the 3rd game from Reflector Mages. With Dramoka's Command, I had to wait until there was enough mana to drop the Rites and drop the fatty on the same turn.
All in all, it was super fun.
New Focus - Enchantments
RyProv, 9 years ago
I decided to add a new focus to this deck - Enchantments. I had trouble surviving long enough to secure a win. The idea now is to pillowfort up to get Rith in for a swing to spawn my saproling army. This is a step in the desired direction with possible additions to come.LOL
Chefjohntodd, 9 years ago
Bust it up so here it is a few new ideas for this deck that looks like fun. Putting a play set of Behind the Scenes. Why? This is the fun part.Assault Formation assigns damage equal to the creatures toughness. So the majority of the creatures are 1 or 0 power making them all unblockable for the most part. Also put 3 Rakshasa Gravecaller which I think will work fun fun with our friend Mirror Mockery popping 2 zombies every time we attack with him... give it a try and let me know what you think...Land Change
Nykona, 9 years ago
On suggestion of AndyReveler and clayperce dropped to 2 Cinder Glade and 23 land and added anotehr Duskwatch to help with creature draw if needed mid game.
Added Natural State to sideboard to help with Silkwrap/Virulent Plague/Always Watching which have all spelled trouble for me in testing.

Removed: Annul and Grisly Spectacle Added: Illusionist's Bracers and Dig Through TimeForeign Black Border Sol Ring!
Brawler_1337, 9 years ago
Just picked up a German black-bordered Sol Ring today. Now I don't need to get an Alpha or Beta copy to make it look good! Judge promo would mean I can have it in foil, but this is pimp enough for me at the moment.Updates!
Cyberninja16, 9 years ago
Updated the layout of the page thanks to code shown to me by Ender666666. I keep running into that guy...you should check out his stuff! Also added a maybeboard section to the description to show what those cards are actually there for.
*Dropped:
Darksteel Colossus for Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger
It That Betrays for Thing in the Ice
Flip
City of Ass to force in Scroll Rack. I will not go below 34 lands.
FNM 2-1
Alx.aQua, 9 years ago
Still not a FNM win, but this time it was close! 2-0 B/R Vampires. was a easy matchup for this deck since I had answers for all his threats. Languish and Declaration in Stone keept the board cleen and keept up the pressure with Gideon and Avacyn. 1-2 Mono-red Devils. This guy hade brewed up a fun devils-deck that combined alot of burn together with devil-tokens to flip his Abbey. Was an easy first game where i could exile his Ormendahl and keep getting life with shambling vent. I the second game he drewthe right burn spells (was hit by 3 Burn from Within) to bring my life to 0. In the third game i unfortunaly got stuck on land and didn't have the resources to react to his plays. 2-0 Mardu Control. Gideon was king in this matchup and won me the first game. In the second game my opponent got problem with tha mana (3 colors ain't easy no more) and I got ahead and keept the presure up with Gideon, and the threat of Ormendahl.MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT

Gannondorf, 9 years ago
Nothing useful to cast? Treetop Village turns into a face-smashing creature!
-2 Forest
McHoon, 9 years ago
SO, I got dominated at FMN tonight playing an earlier version of this deck. Won 1, lost 3. It was way too slow. Delirium was very quick to achieve, but achieving it in the first few turns, with abit of occasional ramp made for a very slow start. Changes made to more of a control shell.
(Plenty of changes made 22/04/16)
Pro's:-
1. Sinister Concoction was great. Playing a full playset now. So was Drownyard Temple
2. Nissa, Voice of Zendikar was useless, as was Catacomb Sifter. Going to try Ob Nixilis Reignited
3. Delirium was easy to achieve, so I'm removing some of the spells that aid it.
4. Board wipes and more removal are needed.

Removed : Coiling Oracle Added : Force of WillUtility Lands and Sideboard Considerations
LordSnow, 9 years ago
Removing one Westvale Abbey Flip for another Ghost Quarter. Ghost Quarter is just too damn good against Affinity, Infect, Tron, and Scapeshift. It can even kill a Celestial Colonnade in the control match. Seems too good. Keeping a Westvale Abbey Flip since it can be so powerful and even randomly win you the game in this deck. I haven't been convinced it should be more than a one of.
I am removing a Kolaghan's Command from the sideboard because I have yet to want to bring more than one in. Even in Affinity I am not sure I want all 3. I am considering replacing it with another Thoughtseize for combo, control, and tron match ups.
