That's Better...
DrunkManSquakin666, 6 years ago
The Bounce Lands and Temple of the False God were interfering with my opening hands a bit too much for my comfort, so I took them and Ancient Tomb out for the Scry Lands, Arcane Lighthouse, and Homeward Path. I think that looks better. I also took apart the sideboard for now, but may reassemble it later. It depends on how I feel. The way this is looking now is pretty good as is.

removed doomsday combo + its pieces, too fragile added notorious throng combo and more rogue creatures to facilitate it. The idea is to get one yuriko activation for at least 2-4 damage with three opponents. This will mean that at 12 damage dealt total, you will create 12 rogues with notorious throng and take an extra turn if one of your attackers was a rogue ( a bunch are). On the following turn drop xenograft or arcane adaptation and have an insane amount of yuriko triggers, most likely generating a win between combat damage and triggers.

Swapped out some things

Swapped out some cards to add more utility and value. These are the cards I added:

Guilds of Ravnica Update
Citridon, 6 years ago
-1 Island, +1 Forge of Heroes - For two commanders, it adjusts the numbers so that they can live through plussing twice into an ultimate.
-1 Sakashima the Impostor, +1 Geode Golem - It's a slight curve increase, which I'll need to address later, but Geode Golem can allow a Turn 5 Double Commander or recasting both for 4 later
-1 Izzet Chemister, +1 Varchild, Betrayer of Kjeldor - A reasonable body that can earn me a wall of chump blockers later
-1 Siege Dragon, +1 Niv-Mizzet, Parun

-1 Mycosynth Lattice, +1 Ancient Stone Idol - Now that I've played it some, lattice just feels like a high-risk, win-more card. I haven't needed it to get going, and it would make Vandalblast-esque effects even better against me.
-1 Phyrexian Metamorph, +1 Saheeli, the Gifted - A case of shallow thoughts making a card underperform, Phyrexian Metamorph has far fewer targets than I'd like in this list, as I play a lot of Legendary permanents. This led to him largely only performing well when he copied a cost reducer, which requires me to have one. Since it's been that way, I'm just switching it over to a cost reducer that can smooth out a larger non-artifact and fuel a steadu stream of thopters.
-1 Lux Cannon, +1 Saheeli's Directive - The cannon has just been too slow here, coming down a few times but only firing once, so I'd rather swap it out.

Bye-Bye, Bident
slusken, 6 years ago
-1 Bident of Thassa +1 Colossal Majesty
The activated ability on Bident of Thassa is something I never utilized. I use it mainly for the card-draw part. But since most of my creatures are very big, They usually don't deal combat damage to players very often. Colossal Majesty will net me an extra card for basically every turn during the late game. I believe the card advantage will be greater with Colossal Majesty compared to Bident of Thassa.

Mob Rule is out. I realized you can't change the mode of the copy, so you can't select both modes legally.

New Direction
bbryant14, 6 years ago
I'm trying a different style with this, because though I can gain life, I'm not doing much else. My plan is to take out the kor skyfishers, test of faith, and hyena umbra. The skyfishers aren't helpful outside of loyal cathar, so it doesn't offer too much in the deck as a whole. The other two are targeted at one creature, which would only be the sisters as any other creature is virtually expendable. I'm adding Suture Priest (the final sister!), battle screech, and guardians' pledge to replace the above cards. We'll see how it does!

Upon request, I have updated my deck to reflect the list as it appeared in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0VlUUBoF9_I&lc=z22wvhqbupyfcxeaj04t1aokgssgyv304gzwffxn2c5ibk0h00410.1543873278919030 MTGMuddstah is amazing btw, and you should definitely watch more of his content! *Note: The Obelisk of Grixis has very much been replaced Chromatic Lantern, as I have learned a lesson in value.

Took out the risk factors and replaced them with cantrips. The risk factors aren’t really good for much in this deck.
Casual Attempt 2
jacob_a_gagne, 6 years ago
Still waiting for Lava Coils from my LGS, and once I get them I will try this in FNM. Played some more casual games against a nice control Orzhov deck and a stalling Saga/Superfriends/Treasures deck, went on a hot streak and won a few, lost a couple, but overall was a touch over .500. Might want to add more Syncopates or Disdainful Strokes, keep the big drakes and Niv safe.
