This Deck is entirely made on the concept of a D&D Rogue-Warlock Pirate I made a number of years ago for an Icewind Dale campaign that got cut short. Is the Chardalyn Dragon or the Turtle required? Hell no. Are they staying in? Hell yeah! It's a for-fun Pirate deck with a focus on making Treasure and either winning with it or turning that Treasure into Creatures with 'Rise and Shine' (when I eventually add it to the deck).

It's not based on the Precon deck, shockingly, although the Commander is essentially the only one possible to work well with this deck. Once I get a few pirates out, the deck pops off by using Mechanized Production to dupe Treasure or Revel in Riches to use that Treasure to win. It's good for mana regardless of how somewhat lopsided my mana is due to the inevitability of getting Treasure tokens - even if I sacrifice a bunch, I'll still have more on the way eventually so hey, it'll work fine.

I tried to make a Pirate-themed deck back in OG Ixalan and got nowhere with it, so now I have this entire deck now based mostly on beefing up my Pirates and/or getting rich and revelling in it. It's not the craziest deck I've made (my 'Screw Your Cards' mill deck is pretty wild) but I gotta say it's one of my favourites.

Special shout out to my local game store for, when I was looking for 'An Offer You Can't Refuse', offered either a standard one or a cat one, and I got the cat one because why not? It's the highlight of this deck and I will never forget the offer I could not refuse that got me there. <3
